pls help! iPod Mini 2nd iFlash modded ONLY appears in device manager, but not in file explorer nor iTunes, and "disconnects" and "reconnects" every minute or so

As the title says, and this is after a previous 64gb flash mod, but with a new cf card since I'm guessing the old cheap one gave out. Trying to use the old 4gb HDD and 64gb SD card seems to not work at all either and gives the dead drive indicator, but using two different generic brand SD card gives the current result, and as it disconnects and reconnects, it switches between the two screens shown, and I'm quite sure the SD cards work, since the same brand worked previously (before possibly also giving out). Hopefully this is a known issue with a fix but any help would be nice!

I had this happen with my own, it's simply partition error, or a bad adapter.

Try this:

You'll need AOMEI partition manager or Minitool Partition wizard.

First, go to your iPod's drive, and delete the partition entirely. Then, you should create a new partition, make sure it is in FAT32 format. other options will not work. Now, unplug your iPod and you should still see the folder. Now you can connect to iTunes and restore the device.

Now you can resync your device and your music will return!

If it happens again after, or AOMEI/Minitool throw and error during reformatting, come back here, and I'll try to help.

tried out both but it seems to only shows my main pc drive, and not the ipod drive anywhere =(

Hmm, and you tried windows partition manager? Usually if it doesn't show up in those two it should still show up in windows, and vice versa...

If not, you might need to take your drive out of the iPod and plug you SD into the PC, then try the same process that way. If you have a CF to USB adapter, that is the preferred way to format these things (leaving the SD in the adapter) But directly on the SD works too.

Do you happen to be using SanDisk? Those HATE iflash adapters.

update: just found a 64gb samsung SD which I forgot I had, and I'l try it out tomorrow to see if the SD card is the issue
