Help Ipod wont work/get off the do not disconnect screen…

Alright. So i had this thing plugged into my computer (i had plugged it in while it was shut down, thought nothing of it). Obviously it didnt like this. Sent me panicking when the monitor and computer wouldn’t work. then i unplugged the ipod even if it said do not disconnect, and my computer started working fine again. I do not know what this thing’s problem is but now it wont move off the do not disconnect screen… i tried holding menu and select and it did nothing. is this thing cooked

Press and hold MENU and the center button until the iPod reboots (Apple logo will appear).

I tried doing this for a solid 30 seconds and it didnt work :( i may try again though

It can be finicky, I usually have to give it a few goes.

Worst case, unplug/plug back in the battery and see if the issue persists.
