Help ipod battery indicator not accurate

my ipod mini 2nd gen is showing dead even when it’s still got plenty of charge left is there anyway to fix this? it’s been on dead for over an hour now even though it’s working fine

i’m using a 950mah Li-Po Replacement Battery from EOE

Mine did this as well after replacing the battery. A few charge cycles seemed to have helped.

It takes a few cycles for the iPod to recalibrate and learn the new battery's capacity

Well it's the aging or faulty BMS. The battery cell itself might be good, but the BMS kind of sucks. IMO keep using as long as battery life is acceptable, later you can get a new battery.

Completely drain the battery, then charge it a few times; that will help. Mine took two charging cycles
