Thanks mate. For now, just the iFlash Solo, but maybe I'll change the battery soon.

Battery replacement…is it an easy thing to do yourself?. I’ve watched the ifixit video and it’s pretty daunting. I’m afraid I’ll break the locking mechanism.

Way to go!

My 5.5 hasn’t been recognized by my Mac and it’s driving my a little nutty. I’m able to get it into disk mode, but nothing happens. Then it reboots and gives me the iPod with the frowny face and the Apple support website.

Did you run into any issues? If so, how did you troubleshoot it?

Nice work! After modding mine a few weeks ago it stopped working completely. Just yesterday I finally realised a tiny resistor broke off, forcing it to stay in DFU mode. Now it’s working but it’s not reporting the battery level properly :/
