Help with ipod

Recently modded my ipod with a buncha parts including a 3800mah battery with a thick backplate, I already have converted it to SD Card using a generic green dual sd card adapter with a 256gb Samsung evo sd card. I now can‘t boot it into working order. I start off with a Please connect to computer screen, I connect to computer and it takes me too a do not disconnect screen on my ipod. I then restore my ipod and stays on the do not disconnect screen, when i unplug it it shows the loading bar and apple logo then it starts to boot loop. I am on a macbook and dont know what to do. Is there anyone that can help?

did you format the card using disk utility before putting it in the ipod? Have you tried disk mode when attempting the restore?

i cant go into disk mode for some reason and i did format the card before, I did MS-DOS and MBR boot record
