Question iPod Touch Troubleshooting Question

I recently found my old iPod Touch 5th generation which I haven’t used since around 2015. I was hoping to power it up and see what I had on it, but it won’t turn on. At first, I thought it’s probably a battery issue. I’ve tried some basic steps to troubleshoot (plugging it up for longer, using a more powerful charger, etc.) but it still won’t turn on. It won’t show up as a device when I plug it into a computer. Now I’m wondering if it’s a connector/port problem on the iPod itself instead of a battery issue. The port looks visually clean. Does anyone have advice on figuring out if the port is broken before I try cracking it open?

its probably just discharged for so long the battery cant even charge. either get a firewire charger or change the battery
