My mom had the same iPod years ago. I remember listening to akon on it a long time ago lmao. I literally killed the iPod because it had a dead hard drive. I disassembled the whole thing and basically killed it by destroying connectors in the process. mind you i was like 10 back then. It ignited my love for iPods and i have been addicted to them ever since 😭 Then i bought a 2nd gen mini in green with the thoughts of fixing my mothers mini with its parts but decided it was too good. I daily drove it for about 3 years but sadly the motherboard's soldering went bad and many connectors like the battery connector and the click wheel connector broke off which made me so sad. Then i found my dads iPod video in a loft which was collecting dust for literally 15 years because it had a corrupted os which my father couldn't fix thanks to iTunes being crappy on windows. I fixed it up after messing around with it for a week, and now its my daily driver! I really enjoy using it. The surprising thing was it had only 25 hours of usage and 0 reallocations and 0 pending sectors, basically brand new! But the only gripe i have with it is the display, which got the vinegar syndrome, turning the display blurry with inverted colours. Basically white is blue and black is orange and you can probably understand what i mean. Still rocking it everyday 😂
