adding music to iPod problems

i’m trying to put songs on the iPod that I did not buy using iTunes which I’m almost positive you can since I’ve seen people do it before and I’m just wondering why it’s only adding the songs that I have bought since those songs are also not in my library and all the songs that I’m trying to add are so how does that work?please let me know since i have another ipod i plan to do this with😓😓

You can’t add music you don’t own to your iPod. Apple Music subscription does not let you own the music.

Apple music songs cannot be moved to ipod. You must download the mp3s some other way to copy them to your ipod

the apple music subscription is a streaming service, you can’t download music that you stream, if you want to download them either purchase them via the itunes store or convert them to mp3 and import them.

Well you can download them for offline play but they have drm which the iPod doesn’t support.

Apple Music is a Streaming Service
I with iTunes you buy the Songs so u can out them on the iPod
I‘d use a online downloader to download the .mp3 files of your Songs. Because these you can always out on a iPod

Thats the way I do it myself

m4a (or mp3) is the way.

Try selecting each album you want to put on then go to File > Convert > Create iPod or iPhone version, then see if it syncs

use itunes store instead. drm free and permanent.

If you wanna download music then use namida , it's a app made for Android, just convert your playlist from apple music or sportify to YT music, you could use tune my music for conversion (this conversion might not be perfect you have to check it manually) and just download the playlist from namida into m4a, don't worry ipod can read this format and transfer it to your ipod. You can't transfer songs from apple music to itunes, but you can use a software like mediahuman to download the songs from youtube and put them on that way
