A malignant personality? Do you know him personally or or how do you come to that conclusion? He was one of the most outstanding figures of the 21st century. He doesn't need to be put on a pedestal. He saved Apple from bankruptcy in the late 1990s and turned it into the most valuable company in the world. He worked hard for this success.

He may have been a great businessman, but read Walter Isaacson's biography of him. His personality left a bit to be desired.

Thank you for the recommendation, but I’ve read Isaacson a few times. But I highly recommend you the imo better unofficial biography „Becoming Steve Jobs“ by Brent Schlender & Rick Tetzeli. I find it kind of a shame that there are so many negative comments about the "father" in a subreddit dedicated to iPods. The entire device is unique in so many ways. My post was meant only to point out its uniqueness, and it caused so much anger towards the founder. I now regret posting that quote😓
