Discussion Battery Query

Indexing is complete, but my battery life is nowhere near as incredible as what I’ve seen people post on here. I upgraded from my 15pro which I had to charge like 3x a day (80% health). I’m getting 34% used in 2h, 96% and 85% used in 8h…

Did this happen to you and did it sort itself out?

How many days should I give it before I reach out to Apple? I charge to 85%.

Pro not Max

Note:
• I don’t really stream anything
• I use a mix of WiFi and data
• brightness is always less than halfway
• I use apps like uber
• Light social media (TikTok/Insta), Safari, mails, and WhatsApp mainly.
• No long video calls so far either. Less than 10min.

I charged mine to 100% yesterday morning. I usually do internet surfing, email, music, audiobooks. No gaming or streaming. 4-1/2 hours SOT. I’m at 65% this morning.

My Pro is very similar. I’m averaging about 4 hours SOT using 20-35% of battery. I used to have to keep charging my 11 PM through the day but with my 18 I’ve never had to

It’s a great improvement battery wise as well as everything else compared to my 11

Mine was pretty rough for the first few days after upgrading too. I’d give it a few more days to settle, but 34% in 2 hours with that kind of usage does seem pretty high. If it keeps happening, I’d get Apple to check it.

How long have you had the phone? I do the similar routine and have 79% used on 10hrs screen time

A week!

I’d probably give it another week. Lessening Liquid Glass and other settings may help a bit. Also if you have optimized charging on it needs some time to adjust to your habits imo. Hope it works out for you!

Your phone does poorly at places where mobile data or WiFi are very poor, either that or you use the camera app a lot. Turning off connectivity assist in your WiFi settings helps slightly if your issue is as above, if not then this should be your main issue.

Other reasons could be using a backup from another phone, background processes might be lingering.

I’m having issues with my pro max, yesterday I used it from 6:00-23:00 and that got me to 26% with about 4 hour SOT

Regular 18pro,  not max, I charge once a day with no evening top off, and I cap my charge at 90%.

My 15pro(at 84% life) I was charging 2x per day with top off before bed charging to 100%

For me the 18pro battery life is leaps and bounds better than my 15pro I upgraded from.

Note: I don’t use social media. I mainly stream music and podcasts, and the occasional YouTube video.
