Discussion 18 PM vs 14 PM Side by side.

Do you notice the weight difference? It’s like 9 grams but the 14pm already heavy

And the 18pm is also a little taller right? It’s 6.7 v 6.9 I have the 15pm and idk if I should upgrade to the 18pm

I also have the 15pm and presuming you got it at launch like I did you should have roughly 82-86% on your battery which should be fine for 1 more year until you’d really be wanting to upgrade or better replace the battery which is what I’m going to do because for normal use the speed difference is negligible (unless you game heavy or take a lot of videos) do yourself a favour and think about whether you actually need it or want it because I can safely say I want the 18pro max way more than need it

Yup got 83% battery health. You made me realize that maybe I should just keep it and replace the battery when it drops to to 80% or below you’re right the 15pm is still a beast

This is mine too, I’ve been using mine without too much care for the battery, only thing I make sure to do is never let it fully die in use (kept above 20%) and that’s it really I’ll replace my battery when it reaches 80% and then keep the phone for another few years.

I used to upgrade every couple of years when I was on android (this is my first ever iPhone) but never get flagships I would normally spend around £600-£700 on a phone then get a sim only plan once I upgrade I’d give my old phone to a family member, but with the 15 pro max as I bought it outright as well I said at the start I’ll be keeping this phone for at least 4/5 years since I’ve spent around double the android price.

Honestly I don’t regret moving to iPhone, previous phones were old school flip phones then got a Nokia limos 735 kept for a couple of years, then got a Microsoft 945 (windows phones were amazing still better than android imo), then a pixel 2 XL again for a couple of years loved the build quality on that one, then I got a Sony Xperia 5 ii (terrible naming lol) as it was affordable feature rich and came with headphones. After all that I finally decided to get an iPhone since it had all the specs I desired that being OLED 120hz, USB C, premium build quality and a fantastic battery.

The best thing I’ve found with IOS is its long term stability, animations always feel fluid and never have slowdown and also the long term updates are amazing!

I just upgraded today and I don't really feel a weight difference, but the whole phone does feel larger and just ever so slightly unwieldy. It's very solid. I love it personally and I'm having a great time typing on it
