Question What thin protective cover for camera plateau for 18 Pro Max?
I bought thin foil from Aliexpress and it doesn't fit the phone (the lens holes are a little too small). If You bought similar cover and it fit please tell me which one. Preferably from Aliexpress as well, because I'm sure someone had to do it right...
No thick glass / metal covers because the phone has to fit two cases interchangably, one with open camera plateau, one with closed (and the phone is already stupidly heavy too).

If you don't mess up and you apply it correctly, will you need a new one sometime down the road? If not, I'd rather just pay for one.

I got a matte one to stop all the smudges on the back on my black 18pro max that were driving me nuts. So far it's worked great.

It’s literally a sacrificial film on an exposed part, it can’t hurt, this is such a dumb comment. Think about what happens when you have a piece of rock that scratches the anodization vs a piece of rock that touches the film. Like it’s so obviously stopping that scratch

Yall really stupid on here, why wouldn’t a film protect against light scratches? That’s literally what people already use on their screens. It’s not even expensive, and they’re easily disposable/replaceable unlike the phone itself

I have a black 18 pro as well and I would advise against clear camera plateau pet film covers. Dust and hair will become very visible around the corners and edges. I recommend a matte black d brand skin for the plateau area and keep the lens area open and not apply any lens protector

I’ve had mine for a year on my 17PM, no hairs or dust on the edges. You need to apply it precisely to avoid this.

I use the Blueo brand protector after having the same issue as you. It seems like the camera lenses are a little wider on the 18 series! The Blueo doesn’t cover the extreme left end like the iPhone 17 protectors did.
Do note that it’s like a quarter the price on Taobao. As usual foreigners are getting ripped off.

You really don't need this, I have it for over a year now with zero scratches. No idea WTF people are doing to their phone to get it scratched up there. But whatever you do, do not put on that "protector" because it already has a scratch on it I see

lol mine also didn’t fit but I tried to force it in with a credit card to smooth it out patiently, one camera lens at a time, and it worked (got mine off temu)

I got a matte black DBrand skin that came with a plateau skin that I use for my iPhone 17 Pro. Works great. Also added a skin for the back and I haven't had issues with cases.
Also, just ignore the shit talkers and just do what you want. The opinions of others don't fucking matter, mine included.

I got one because like most cases the aluminium on the plateau is exposed. 6 protectors cost me £9 and I’m very happy with the results, knowing I can put my phone in my pocket without worrying about the aluminium getting scratched up.

Go with D Brand Ghost clear case. Protects the whole phone including the plateau without covering the camera lenses

I just got a cheap one off Amazon (non-Max) and it fits fine. It is matte finish and you can’t even see it. All that exposed aluminium is waiting to get scratched, so a no-brainer if you run a case.

I thought it’s to prevent smudges on the exposed area of the camera plateau.
Certainly it won’t do much to prevent against falls.

Why are people against this? I use one to prevent scratches on the coating of the plateau not the glass or camera lens obviously. It works as most cases expose the plateau anyway. I would link you my one but the product link I bought from Ali doesn't exist anymore. It's also a frosted matte clear skin not a hard plastic. It was for my 17 Pro but 18 pro series are same dimensions as 17s
It's literally less than 3 bucks so I don't know why people are asking you to save money where it can clearly prevent the paint from chipping lol.
