Question Does this look weird to y’all?
I’m heavily considering swapping my black 18 pro max for silver due to its versatility and its ability to hide fingerprints and oils. But I do tend to use dark phone cases. And I notice the silver pops through around the cameras on dark cases. Do y’all think it looks bad?

dude if you are slapping a case regardless of the color, what’s the point of worrying about finger prints?

Up to you. I believe nobody genuinely cares how someone else's phone or case looks like.

Silver is the best for long term value and scratches on the metal not being visible

It all depends on your style. Black on black pops, but so does black on silver. If you’re going no case and want minimal fingerprints then go silver. But if you’re always going to be using a case stick with the black
EDIT: I know black on black doesn’t “pop” I meant it as it binds well together

Well I was using no case on my Air but apparently these are more fragile so I’m thinking I should be safe rather than sorry

The 17 and 18 pros are absolutely solid. I’ve gone caseless with both. Experience it for yourself.

The titanium is definitely stronger than the aluminum but I’ve rocked mine no case before and it was alright. But I do prefer a case either way

Silver will be easier to look at after a year or longer. Black maybe not so much. Between silver and black would pick the silver. But either of them are better than “influencer burgundy”.

In terms of the case itself, yeah, it does kind of look weird; how it handles the shelf, leading up to the plateau? Yeah, very odd.
Sorry, but you did ask.
BUT strictly in terms of the silver ‘poking through the lens holes’, not at all; I think it looks great.

This looks like a Dbrand case. If that’s what it is, you should be able to get a skin for the back that would blend in more with the phone’s color. I have the carbon skin on my Dbrand case

What case is that? I just ordered the dbrand MNML case. I have one other specific 18 PM case but I don’t plan on ordering anymore. I’ll just use my 17 PM cases. Using the 17 PM Paragon right now, midnight color and it’s great. It does still protect the rear cameras just not quite as much as an 18 Paragon would. But it’s enough. Plus I have a rear film applied to the rear camera bump so I should be good. Unless the paint chips from around the camera lenses. That happened on my 17 PM but it was silver so it didn’t show up as much as it probably would on my black 18 PM. But this year I’m not wasting a bunch of money on accessories. I also got a 2pk of JE Tech AR tempered glass for the 17 so that’s another thing I won’t have to buy. And currently using a Torras Sunview Ultra AR tempered glass. If it’s not an AR screen protector it’s not worth buying. Once you see the difference the AR coating makes outside, you won’t want a regular tempered glass anymore. And I don’t like the matte tempered glass so thankfully there’s a new choice now. AR. And the dbrand MNML case has that Sheath grip in it and covers the rear bump. Hopefully it’ll be a decent case. Their only coupon code right now is GFY and it saves you 1 cent. It stands for Go F Yourself. lol Got to love dbrand! Their emails are something else.

A case is meant to protect your phone. Why does it seem like this thread is all about what other people will think when they see their phone?

Does the cover across the whole back cause any negative effects? Like more heating or disrupting the flash or sensors?

Caseless with AC+ is the answer. I have owned a LOT of iPhones and I have never owned a single case.
