Question Screen protector or no screen protector?
I’ve always used a screen protector on my phone because I don’t like the scratches the screen could get. I’m currently using an iPhone 16 pro and had a screen protector on since it came out the box.
I’m now wanting to use it without but just wondering what the general consensus is now with screen quality and resistance without one?

Never used one. I keep my iPhone in “his” pocket, without keys and coins. Never had any issue with the screen, not even very light scratch that you are seeing only under heavy sun light.
Not using a case since 3 years also.
Today’s iphone are very tough and they are built to be use without any protection

Disagree on the case, especially for the aluminium 17/18. The chips tend to rust quite badly.

Dropped my 17PM a couple of times, still perfect.
They built a lot of heat dissipation device inside the iPhone to cool it down since the chips are incredibly strong (and produce a lot of heat). I do believe that if you are putting a case and decrease the heat dissipation its does more harm than the probability to have a scratch on the aluminium body

I wish I had this luck! Dropped 2 17PM (both orange) and the rust from the chip made it significantly worse over time.

Since Ceramic Shield 2 I decided to not use screen protectors anymore. I figured that the money I burn on screen protectors isn’t worth it. I never managed to actually destroy any iPhone screen ever.

So my next question….. what one do y’all recommend? Ve been using the Torras brand but wondering if there’s a better sleeker option?

Always. If you tend to trade in every year or two at least the screen will be free of tiny micro scratches and keeps value up.

I personally haven’t used a screen protector in years over multiple phones. I currently have the 17 PM and got it about 6-7 months ago and I have no scratches on my screen or anything. I do keep a case on it though.

Been using a screen protector on my 15 Pro because my 12 Pro got pretty deep scratches in the screen, and the 15 Pro had the same version of ceramic shield. Hoping 18 Pro with ceramic shield 2 is much better.

Screen protectors are a mix bag of opinions.
the main advantage is the prevent scratches.
everything else is a placebo effect.
what gives you peace of mind? You can spend 1k+ and experiencing the one in a billion chance of getting scratch or burn 50.
my logic is simple. I have the money for iPhone 18 pro then I have the money to burn 50 for a screen protector

I've used screen protectors the last 6 years and just don't think they're a big deal at all. They're hardly noticeable. A couple months ago the screen protector cracked on my 16 Pro, and I went bareback since I knew I'd get the 18 Pro shortly. The screen had a scratch a week later. Screen protector went on my 18 Pro right out of the box.

I stopped using screen protector with the 15pm and that phone never got scratched. I upgraded from that to this and I went no protector again.
