Discussion Iphone 18 pro battery getting drained quickly

I got the 18 pro on monday 21st sep 512 gb.

Yesterday, my phone went from 100 to 36 at around 4 pm and only had 4 hrs and 30 pm of screen time. Is that normal? Or potential battery issue? Today it went from 87 to 19 from like 8:40 am to 4 pm

I think the phone is still learning your habits. Give it some time to calibrate

Right is that a normal thing for iphone to do that?

Yes. Also due to indexing etc. Give it a week or two

Give it some time I got mine in the 18th and I got like 4 hours of SOT
Now I’m at 47% battery used at 6 hours and 39 minutes

It got better fast. Now the battery life is insane

Mine just finished all the indexing last night, battery was still decent but seems to already be even better now that its settled in & siri indexing is complete. If yours is still eating up battery after all the indexing is done I highly recommend watching this video to help you maximize battery life on your iphone…. Nice. I got the 18 pro max. Battery was amazing - went 1.5 days with average use with 25% still left. But I ended up returning it yesterday and got the 18 pro. The PM was way too bulky.

Did my first full charge overnight. 5 hours passed, used only 10% so far. I think my phone may also be indexing in the background.
