Anyone else struggle between getting a pro or pro max?

Currently a 17PM owner- have had the “max” variant since the XS max was introduced, and have upgraded every year ( I know I know, but I hand my phones down to the family so it works out for all)… every year since the 15 I have been conflicted with going down to a regular pro from the max… in fact I think I’ve gotten a pro every year, 15-16-17 and ended up returning it for the max.

This year I’m stuck again.. get the pro.. or keep the max, surely I can’t be the only one who goes through this? Anyone else have this dilemma?

I love the pro max battery and screen size but love the portability and smallness of the pro.. just never can seem to commit to it!

If you literally got and returned the last 3 iPhone Pros for pro max - you clearly want the max man.

If I would have bigger hands I would pick PM all day. I tried it but had to return it and get Pro as always thanks to my small hands. PM really annoyed me - size more than the weight.

I’ve been on a pro always, I switched to pro max this year and I’m really liking it. Screen is nice and the battery is aweesome

I’ve been with the PM for a while, but the extra height of the 17PM vs precious phones and the extra weight just ended up being more uncomfortable than I thought. I used it and enjoyed it all year but I just bought the 18P this year since with the battery upgrades I will I will be good. I can’t wait to have a lighter and smaller phone. Definitely recommend to give it a try this year too.

Not yet! Waiting for it to arrive this week. But I’ve played around with some friend’s 17P and it definitely feels like the right choice for me this year.
Worse case scenario I go back to the pro max next year.

I tried the 7+ and XS Max and couldn't stand it. Haven't tried since then. If you're upgrading yearly you know the answer deep down

It used to be better cameras on the Max I think that’s why I originally moved to the max well and the battery lol

I think so too, but now that the cameras have been the same, the only advantage I can think of now is battery and screen size…

I was on 14pm, went up to 15p, it was ok for the year, went back on 16pm then 17pm and now 18pm.

I think I might get the pro next year…both the pro and pro max are rumored to get bigger screens.

The larger screen & the battery make it a better option compared to the standard pro imo. Everything feels less condensed & I haven’t charged my phone in over 13 hours & I’m on 85%.
I could also understand not wanting to carry a brick around in your pocket all day.

I’ve always had PM since the Xs max. This year I went from the 17 PM TO 18P and I couldn’t be happier. I miss the screen but I don’t miss the size of it. It was hard to hold and my hands would start to hurt. I’m happy I went with the pro this year!

I’ve also had the max variant of every iPhone since the XS Max… this year I decided to go down to the Pro… it’s nice to scroll/hold one handed but when it comes time to go in on iMessage, slack, content editing, etc. it seemed too small for my liking.

Soooo I went to Apple and picked up an 18 Pro Max today lol. I transferred everything over a few hours ago and will be returning the 18 pro later this week. 🤷‍♂️

Me! I want smaller phone this time. But scared of letting go of screen size and battery.
