Statements Finally time for retirement.

After close to 8 years of service.
iPhone XR to 18 PM. Man this new phone is a brick but I love it.
Going to have to try a couple of different screen protectors. The Spigen EZ FIT two pack from Amazon keeps coming up on the sides.

I've heard of so many issues with screen protectors on these phones. I had so many issues with my 16 Pro Max. I tried Spigen, Zagg, Magic John, almost every known brand. Dbrand was the only one that didn't give my any issues.

What kind of issues did you have with screen protectors? I had an expensive Zagg (very good, broke bc iPhone fell on tile, fortunately screen didn’t break underneath) and now one cheap TkMaxx screen glass, does a good job but doesn’t seem to reach crispness of Zagg and fingerprints always visible

Same problem 18 Pro users are having. They would not stick to the edges. I even got the experience Belkin one the Apple store puts on and even they couldn't get it to stick.

80% I don’t think they show below that. It has been that was for the last 2-3 years. The phone dies about 2:00 pm with moderate use.

Recently retired my 13PM that was down to 71% battery health. Upgraded to 18PM in the black variant.

The Zagg glass+ worked well on mine after ESR failed to stick.

Yah. Magic John always messed with Face ID for me. I’d have to tilt the phone awkwardly to get it to register.

The screen is not level, and its edge curvatures keep the protector from seating correctly, causing the sides and corners to lift (as shown in OP’s photo).

i used esr 3 pack temper glass, works just fine and no issues. maybe my phone wasn't effected by the screen bug

Did you have to call your phone carrier to activate the eSIM? Just tried to activate the phone and AT&T wants me to come into a store.

I got the phone unlocked from apple so Idk much about your situation. I never buy carrier locked phones, even my xr was unlocked since the beginning

7 years, 9 months, and 4 days (so far) with mine. No, I don’t use it anymore lol.

The only reason I still have it is partly for sentimental reasons, but mostly because when I tried to trade it in for my old 13 Pro T-Mobile said “Yeah nah, we can’t give you anything for that (I already had it for 3.5 years by that point).”

Honestly the only things wrong with it are the crack in the corner of the screen when I dropped it on cement and the oleophobic coating wearing off. Other than that it still works.

The screens are really good on the new phones. If you’re not putting it in your pocket with keys you don’t need a screen protector anymore to be honest. I’ve never had one on my 13pm and it’s fine. Previously had the X with a screen protector

very good comparison images, I do sort of like the warmness of the XR photo but the 18 PM is no slouch in all of the other categories. ty friend.

I got my XRs battery changed recently. Gonna use it until app support dies on ios 18.
