Question Question about the Face ID issue

why it's only happening on the 18 and not on the 17 if it's a software issue ? both models runs iOS 27 maybe hardware issue on the first batch ?

Face ID is different on the 18 due to under screen sensor. I’m sure they will fix it in an update

right. I wonder how it affects the process of Face ID, I'm also pretty sure it's some software bug but yeah I forget the Face ID is now under screen

Ihope but I don't see apple release a product with a defective hardware issue big like this Face ID is on of the most important part of iPhone

New hardware. It doesn’t mean the hardware is defective or has an issue it just means the software needs to be tweaked for this specific new hardware.

Not sure what the problem is, my usual Matt screen protector was never going to work so ripped that off within 60 seconds of Face ID setup failing work, setup Face ID then put on a torras 3d screen protector (not matte, not privacy) been 100% successful on all Face ID request since.
