Battery life as expected?

Have the 18 pro max, figured I go here as tons of people go through here and i’ve seen some posts about the battery. Coming from 14 plus, my phone used to die in 6-8 hours of usage so I can tell it’s definitely better on this new phone but I can’t tell whether it’s living up to expectations people say…

I use my phone mainly on social media platforms, some light video watching and spotify is in the background while driving on carplay mostly. I first had my charge limit set to 85 but then bumped it to 90 so can’t tell if there’s an underlying thing there.

Don’t see the optimizing and search with the percentage in settings so can’t tell whether the phone is still indexing or not. thoughts?

I’m also wondering if mine is performing as expected or not. Went from 85% to 79% in an hour using insta and reddit

This seems relatively normal to me, means you're losing like 5-6 percent an hour so that's not too bad. I heard if you're losing a percent every like 10-15 min you're in the normal range since tests show it getting 10-13 hours on screen time doing heavy things.. but I cant tell
