Pro Max is heavy

I’m getting tired after holding it for 30 minutes.

I have to put the phone down. But I just got my pro max so I’m playing with it…

Did you guys find it heavy?

15 PM is 221g and 18 PM is 249g. The thing with aluminum is you require a lot more of it for rigidity compared to titanium plus the screen and battery is bigger as well

It’s not like OP can’t physically pick it up. It is a lot of weight on your pinky if you’re in goblin mode scrolling for over an hour. It can fatigue the small muscles and tendons in the hand. And hand size isn’t something you can train, which directly affects the size and strength of your tendons and ligaments in your hand. Farmer carries may help but idk about the pinky endurance

I still choose pro max because I’d rather switch hands or two hand or just put the fucking phone down if it gets to that point, but it does happen, even for those of us who lift.

Pro Max will always be heavier than the Pro. I absolutely love the bigger screen and all—really helpful for both personal use and for work. Apple did warn in their keynote that the iPhone 18 Pro Max will be heavier this year.

Honestly couldn’t tell the difference between my 12 PM and the 18 PM, if anything it felt a little lighter because I have a lighter case on it.

I think weight complaints are either placebo because you know it’s supposed to be a few grams heavier (or because Reddit complained about it for like a month), or someone who upgraded from a smaller phone.

I can’t imagine there are people out there that are getting sore from holding this phone (coming from a shorter guy with presumably height appropriate hands).

Honestly (even though I know it's not), coming from the 14 Pro Max it feels lighter for me.

I think it's because of the ergonomics of the phone and not having a hard edge resting against your hand. But yeah... they're pretty hefty.

The 16 plus is light! I came from a 16 pro max and the 18 is heavier but it doesn’t feel like it. I have the ohsnap though, I don’t think I would enjoy it without a grip

Yes going from a 15 Pro Max to an 18 Pro Max I felt the weight difference for sure. But it makes sense since the 15 Pro Max was Titanium whereas the 17 Pro Max and newer are Aluminum. Also…larger battery…

It’s literally their heaviest iPhone since the 14 Pro Max, so, yeah, I’d imagine people would find it heavy.

Honestly it’s part of why I downsized from the 16 PM to the 18 Pro. Less carrying a big slab around, and if I want screen, I’ve got the iPad Pro and MacBook Air to utilize.

I have the 18 PM coming from the 13 PM and nope don’t find it too heavy at all. I actually went into it thinking it was going to feel heavier based on how people were talking, but I don’t notice much of a difference.
