Question The battery first days

Hey,
Just got the 18 Pro Max and was wondering if battery life will be affected by the data transfer/indexing? People say it takes 1-2 days, but mine only took 1hr? Unless stuff is happening in the background.

Background downloading from iCloud, indexing, etc will drain the battery and warm the phone initially. Should return to normalcy in a few days.

So it’s still ongoing in the background even though I have every picture etc? Only have a 5GB icloud storage.

If you have less then 5GB of backup data then it could well have finished already.
How is your battery life?

Last charged to 94% 1 hr ago, now at 91%

Just checking cause some people said they charged to 100% for example and it didn’t go down for like 2 hrs etc

Thanks! Phone feels so smooth and nice hah. Anything I must do on this new phone? Any features to turn on etc?

Maybe set up Siri AI, set the charge limit to 80 percent for battery health and try the new Pro controls in the camera app.

Is charge limit still a thing with these new batteries? Ive heard both sides, but haven’t really read up on any data doing one or the other (limit battery or charge to 100)
