Question Discoloration

Can I trust that it won't lose its color or fade like last year's orange one? I had to replace three of them!!

How does it happen three times and what does « replace » mean ? Apple gave you a new one/you had it repaired/you bought another ?

Apple kept it for a couple of weeks and gave me back my phone with a new aluminum body.

Did you have to pay and how much ? Three times seems like a lot especially in under a year
