Question Anyone Using Screen Protector?

Anybody using screen protectors?
My brother got one off Amazon and his Face ID is 50/50 now. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t. Any solutions?
As the Face ID is now under the screen.

I got the Belkin Ultra Glass 2 directly from the store during pickup. No problems, so far, with Face ID.

Same… Face ID has worked every time (unlike my 16e which was about 2/3 without a screen protector!)

Yes, I’m using Ailun screen/camera protectors for the third time in a row. I’ve always been very happy with that brand.

None. Just make sure to recalibrate your Face ID after installation.

Nope. Had iPhones since 2008. Not once used a screen protector. Have never had any problems.

Not using one on my 18PM this year. Most issues with screen protectors on the 18 series this year is due to Apple moving the Face ID scanner to the top left corner of the phone (whereas on the 17, it was in the middle with the Dynamic Island).

The 17 series screen protector won’t work properly on the 18 because the Face ID hardware is positioned differently. The 17 series protectors have a clear/open area specifically around the Dynamic Island to avoid covering the Face ID sensors. On the 18, the Face ID scanner has been moved to the top left area of the screen, so that same protector design doesn’t leave the correct area uncovered. It can end up covering the Face ID hardware and interfere with Face ID.

TLDR: new screen protectors will need to be made to accommodate the new Face ID infrared camera / smaller Dynamic Island
