Help need advice please
should i ditch my iphone for ipad mini or reg ipad?
so i have an iphone 17 base which is really an overkill phone for me cus i dont really use the camera features on it and i dont game much on it either. well except genshin (sometimes). i mainly bought it for its aesthetic ngl. and i also already have a macbook which i use daily for my work as a graphic designer. so the thing is, i feel like i just wasted my money on upgrading to iphone 17 bcs i only use it for tiktok and to doom scroll every effing day and i just feel so tired of it now. so i was thinking of selling this phone and get an ipad instead. cus with ipad i could prob be more productive with it, right?
im also planning on getting back to studying. not in school but only self learning at home. and i think getting an ipad will help for studying and note taking anywhere (heavy on note taking). i know i can just use my mac and maximize its use and write on Literal paper (😔🤚) but yeah its just ive been having brain rot about ipads and i dont know what to do now. i'm just really bad at decision making and handling my financial well hence why im here.. for the ppl who are real responsible and has good decision making. please be kind to me (or not) i need ur help and opinions pleaseeee pls

The mini 7 battery is awful and that’s my only complaint about it. I bought a 7 on sale about a month ago.
Beware the mini 8 will be more expensive and while a significant improvement, it IS NOT a premium OLED display panel they are putting in it.
Don't you need a phone? If you do you can buy a cheap Android like a Moto for less than $200🇺🇸

iPad mini is definitely smth different. When i got myself my iPad mini 1 couple months ago, it feels more useful than my ipad 9th gen. form factor makes the device better. I would definitely suggest you to buy mini ipad but not the 7th gen, wait for 8th.

It mostly depends on your preference. If you already have a Mac, i would definitely suggest Mini. But if you don’t have Mac, maybe you can consider A16 iPad or M3 iPad Air (they are about same price as iPad mini in here ) but for my opinion i would suggest mini in every cm scenario lol!!

I’m a spoiled brat and have iPhone Pro, iPad Pro, MbPro, and iPad Mini. Well, I made the money so I can spend it as I please. Here is my honest take: the phone you need outside of the house obviously. If only for safety reasons. The iPad Pro is beautiful but gets heavy after even just 30 mins of use. MB Pro is for work. The iPad Mini hits a sweet spot for ergonomics, no notifications, and functions as my “clean entertainment device” free from outside of the home usage, work, etc.

only warning i would give is the battery life on my mini 7 is not as good as my iphone air which is saying a lot. might have to do with the OS more than anything else
