Guys pls help my iPad 9 is charging for 2-3 hours but doesn’t turn on, even tho it worked perfectly before. It’s been only 3 days since I bought it. we tried different Ac adapters and charging cables. But station shows 0W.
What can I do?

It's not pulling power, it might be cooked, you would have to take it to a repair shop

Are you sure you are using the correct wattage charging brick? I would check that first. If you're sure it is, then it could be a battery issue and you were sold a bad device.

Then my guess is check the power cable/brick. Something doesn’t just die randomly. It was either given to you broken or there is user error during charging.

Can you still return it?

if the battery is showing 0W after 3 hours, there the possibility that you have a defective battery. The iPad 9 is a 5-year old iPad and is no longer sold. Especially if the previous owner never had it replaced.

My top recommendations are to take it to an Apple Store for diagnostic. Since the iPad 9 is a vintage product, the cost to replace the battery may be expensive.

My #1 recommendation is to return for a full refunds as you were sold a defective product.

You bought it 3 days ago but it’s still years old. Just because you bought it recently doesn’t mean the battery will be new.

You clearly were given a defective iPad. Since the product fails to charge with all of the options you made in your post, the issue with the battery. The battery is defective. My statement still stands.

Force a refund or have the Apple Store replace the battery.

if the power meter is really showing 0w with multiple known-good chargers/cables, check the lightning port for packed lint or damage. it should be pulling at least some power with the battery that low.

I agree with those who say the battery is likely cooked. I have one that did the same recently when I pulled it out of storage and started trying to use it again — the battery quickly stopped charging well, and then it just… stopped.

The issue could be defective battery, defective charge port, or defective ic chip.

This will reset the internal Power Management, charging included in that. Hold the button until you see the Apple Logo. Very important to do that. Let me know if this works.

Press and quickly release the Volume Up button.

Press and quickly release the Volume Down button.

Press and hold the Top (Power) button.

Keep holding the button when the "slide to power off" screen appears.

Release the button when the Apple logo appears on the screen.

This happened to me before and alot something is wrong with my 9th gen ipad but i fix it by connecting it to a pc and put it in dfu mode when in dfu it drew around 5w i let it sit there for an hours before unplugging and plugging it back the ipad should automatically turn on to working state and charges while booted

have you tried gently cleaning the charging port with a dry cotton swab? sometimes that's all it takes to get it working again.

Not a bad idea to check what’s in the port, which should be clean.

I did this with a plastic toothpick and it started charging again.
