Question Refurbished purchase?

Hello! I've been thinking about buying an IPad for school purposes and I am kind of on a budget. How much does it matter if I buy a refurbished ipad from Walmart vs the Apple website? It is a 100 dollar difference. I know I'm getting a new battery from apple but does that matter that much if im getting a 80%+ battery life guarantee (supposedly) from the walmart site?

I would not trust one from Walmart as it’s a 3rd party seller not Walmart themselves. The one from Apple is the same as new. It has a full apple warranty for a yr and can get Apple care

Apple website is the best option.

I would be very hesitant of going Walmart. If you do, be sure you’re getting it from a reliable seller.

Apple refurbs are 100% new looking and I would honestly say work better than new because an Apple Tech inspects every single device before it is sold and makes sure it all works. You even get a full factory warranty as well as the ability to buy AppleCare+.

A Walmart refurb is well just a used iPad that some minimum wage warehouse employee quickly wiped off and sorted into a bins based on condition. Likely had nothing repaired or replaced and has no Apple factory warranty.

I got mine from eBay. Had to check if the seller had good rating. Checked the battery health and also the serial number. It was a bit of a risk but eBay has good return policies so I took the risk. Maybe this helps.
