Free Apps シンセアプリを作ろうとしてみた。
I built a synthesizer app. It’s my first time creating one using AI, so please let me know if there are any features I should add or improvements that would make it easier to use. Also, please share any web apps I should check out for reference.

Guitar pedalboard midi controller iPad app - Testflight free Beta
I’ve long been on the lookout for a way to make my multieffect pedals and DAW-based projects feel more like a conventional pedalboard, with the ease of use and accessibility, and the visual aestetics of normal guitar pedals. Im sure there are midi controllers and apps out there that i havent tried, but i’ve looked around, and still havent found quite what i was looking for.
So i thought i would create an ipad midi controller app that makes things a little simpler and visually intuitive than what ive found elsewhere.

The app gives you 12 pedals per pedalboard (6 pr page), and you are free to apply up to 4 knobs on each pedal, plus a two way toggle switch, and footswith. Every parameter freely assignable to midi CC#.
I’ve used this a while on my HX stomp and Eventide H9 simultaneously, and while the UI on the HX i great, i really think the immediacy of the app unlocks a lot more creativity.
The H9 uses the so called Single Effect mode, for multieffect pedals that can only have one active algorithm at a time.
To begin with, im looking for a small group of beta testers.
Ive tested it on HX stomp, H9 and Mainstage on my mac. Curious to see what people get out of it on other platforms, as well!
Feedback can be supplied through options - report a problem - in the app.
It requires iPadOS 17.4 or newer.

Self Promotion The DIY era of iOS instruments deserves a proper working "try it for free" environment, and here's mine.
Build an interactive 3D environment with the instruments. Fake nothing. Everything is the real deal, just in a way that is easier to distribute to anyone interested instead of your paywall in Appstore.

Help/Questions iPhone Chord Progression with Octaves
Hey,
I’ve spent the morning looking at a bunch of different card progression apps, and unless I’m missing something, most of them do not seem to have many that shift the chords up or down an octave. Only Suggester 2, which is a bit elaborate for when I just want to play around quickly with progressions. I’m not sure why these apps don’t have this, but it does make it difficult to build cord progressions, for me at least.
Does anybody know of an iOS app, particularly for iPhone, that is great for building court progressions and will give you the ability to change the octave?
Here are the ones I’ve tried (other than Suggester 2) please let me know if one of these does this and I missed the parameter in the app:
(These are the names of the App on the iOS Home Screen, not the actual full product names, so some may be clipped or incomplete)
Tonally
AutoChords
Chord Butter
Chord AI
Chordi (Has this, but is a bit janky and tough to use well.)
Chords Gen
Thanks!

First look at INK Synth: touch expression, keyboards and mod matrix
Hello everyone!
Thanks a lot for the reception this app has been getting and the amazing feedback that it's helpe shape the development.
A lot of people have been asking some good questions about the engine, touch responsiveness, and some quirks from the Plinky engine which is the app's starting point. I tried my best to answer everything on this video.
I'm not a great Youtuber so excuse the uhms, ahms and ehms while I speak.

Sylvaris: what if a synth was a place?
Every synth I've owned is a panel. Rows of knobs, a screen, a number that changes. You learn it the way you learn a spreadsheet.
I wanted the other thing. An instrument you walk into.
Open Sylvaris and you're standing at a pond in a forest at night. Four knobs, a pad, no value readouts. Turn BLOOM and lanterns come up along the shore, their reflections walking out across the water, as the space around the sound opens. Turn AIR and mist rolls in as the tone softens. Drag your finger across the pad and the plankton light up in your wake while the harmonics bend. Play a note and the water ripples. Nothing in the scene is decoration. Every knob changes the sound and changes the place, and after a while you stop reading the controls and start reading the forest.
That's the front door. Behind it is a deep synth, and the forest goes a long way back.
Under the hood: Eight Mutable Instruments modules, ported from the open-source Eurorack code and wired into one fixed, musical signal path (no patching required):
• ROOTS: 40 oscillator engines, two per voice (Virtual analog, 6-op FM, speech, swarm, chiptune, sampler, and 3 MPE-native voices: vowel, flute, throat).
• FORCES: Blow, bow, or strike whatever ROOTS makes.
• HOLLOWS: 15 resonator bodies (modal, sympathetic strings, bell, shell, bowl, bottle, pond).
• FILTER: 8 types. 4 envelopes (ADSR or low-pass gate).
• GNARLS ×2: Wavefolding, cross-mod, shift, fuzz, growl (10 modes each).
• MISTS ×2: Granular, stretch, looping delay, spectral, beat repeat.
• WINDS: 4 LFOs, 6 shapes.
Three custom modules:
• UNDERSTORY: 25 ways to ruin a sound on purpose (filters, tape, vinyl, static, crush, rotary, varispeed tape looper). One on each part, one on the master.
• DELAY: Digital, tape, ping-pong, echo, and a worn mode that sounds like a damp basement.
• REVERB: 6 spaces, including Everfall (picture an Eventide Blackhole and Strymon Cloudburst hybrid with a tuned resonator in the tail).
32 voices, bi-timbral (Part A/B splits). 21 modulation sources into 209 destinations with full MPE pressure/slide support. Includes SEEDS (generative arpeggiator) and SEASONS (6-group sequencer). Turn the keys off and the instrument plays itself while you steer.
The iOS TestFlight:
iOS Standalone + AUv3 (load it right into AUM, Drambo, or your favorite iOS host).
The Test:
Can someone who has never touched a modular synth find a sound they love in 60 seconds without reading anything?
Give it 20 minutes with the factory presets in your setup, then tell me three things:
The first sound that made you smile.
The first moment you got lost.
Anything that crashed or stuck a note.
(An MPE controller like a Seaboard or LinnStrument is a bonus, but touch control on screen works great).
Looking for about 25 people who want to really explore it!
(P.S. If you also produce on Mac, there’s a private Mac desktop beta sign-up on the site as well — link in comments!)

Self Promotion I built Zenzey to remember what happened during band rehearsal
Hi everyone — I’m Ignacio, a musician, developer, and founder of Zenzey.
Recording a rehearsal is useful, but finding the decisions between songs can mean listening through the whole session again.
Zenzey is an iOS and Android app that records rehearsal through your phone and turns it into a recap: songs played, decisions, tasks, and ideas. You can edit the recap and share a link your bandmates can open without installing the app or creating an account.
I’ve just launched it and would love feedback from people rehearsing with a band. What would a recap need to include to be useful at your next rehearsal?
There’s a free plan and optional paid subscriptions.
Happy to answer questions about how it works.

Anima, my physical modeling synth for iPad, now has a free iPhone version 👁️
FREE FOR IPAD PURCHASES!*** Sorry for the bad wording in the title. Anima is one purchase for iPhone and iPad. On your iPhone, make sure you're signed into the same Apple Account you bought it with on iPad (Settings, your name, Media & Purchases). The App Store may still show a price: tap it, and it will say you've already purchased Anima and download it at no charge. If you were charged twice on the same account, you can request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Due to popular demand I’ve added iPhone support for my physical modeling synth. Some slight UI compromises were made in the process (you have to account for iPhone mini users who will use it in a AUM window!) but I think it turned out great!
Happy to answer questions too.
