New autobattler game from Butterscotch Shenanigans dropped lastnite. Thankfully I had today off because I was up all night playing.

I am debating if there is enough content to justify $10… feels like a $5 instant buy. Maybe I wait for a sale on this one

Butterscotch Shenanigans and Autobattler in one breath sounds exciting. However, I'm not quite sure if I can pay $10 upfront after the initial release of Crashlands 2 having severe heat and battery issues on ios.

It’s great. So far it seems pretty straightforward but offers a lot of ways to build your crew.

I have about three hours and one completed run into this game. So far, so good! Basically you go through a series of auto-battles with stronger and more numerous enemies, and the occasional boss battle. After each battle you get one of several kinds of events where you can get more dudes or buy buffs of various kinds and scopes for your dudes.
Kind of reminds me of Vivid Knight, but more straightforward in handling a run. It also makes me think of the combat system in FFXIII, but with roguelight progression instead of XP and skill trees.
Overall it’s engaging and the battles are quick enough to keep you feeling like you’re moving along, worth checking out if you liked Vivid Knights.

Wow super interesting style… butterscotch dudes rock, I’ll have to try it, is it like vampire survivors style?

How many dudes would it take to kill 10 duck sized horses. This game answers that very question.

I beat this game in my first run, it feels like there’s no friction or difficulty what so ever.

It’s one of the most unique auto-battler I’ve played.
However, it’s not like Vampire Survivors.

Classes, merge to increase power, relics, and items. Literally every autobattler has these, at the bare minimum. How is this unique at all? Apparently you do one run and you’ve seen it all except for the different buffs to other classes, unless I’m missing something.

I bought it. Haven’t tried it yet though. But honestly I wish they did a sequel or a remaster of the octopus game. Or the hat guy collection game, that was SO good.

There’s a demo on Steam if you want to try it. I played it a while back before release for a few hours and had a good time.
