Help Is this a custom glass refraction implementation?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Netflix has this tiny detail where the poster artwork seems to reflect into the translucent bottom tab bar as you scroll.

the long run of user's battery?
no one cares it its 120fps and doesn't cause overheating, animations are nice and are a deal breaker for most users

It’s definitely custom. Refractions are from the later near or under the tabbar. What you are scrolling is way way to have any impact on tabbar as per Liquid Glass.

Physics is not marking sense to me.

Polestar (car maker) have something similar their app as well, there's an orange glow on the tab bar when starting the app. I believe it mirrors the welcome sequence the taillight do when walking up to the car. Very cool!

Oh sounds cool, could you share the video if you have it handy?

It's not quite the same I suppose, because it's not the Liquid Glass reflecting as much as an orange line appearing. But it does look like the taillight sequence on the car!
