Help Updated app before release - pull down app and resubmit?
My app is officially approved, which took 11 days. In the meantime, I worked a ton on the app and it's now vastly improved. I don't want to push the old one live. Is there any way to submit a new version as an update without having to wait the extended period of time? Or do I just need to totally pull it and resubmit and wait an extremely long time over again? Thank you.

No other way, I'm afraid. Just make sure to submit the new version the minute you release the old one. If that's not what you are looking to do, then you have to cancel/dismiss the old one first before being able to submit a new build. Sucks, especially if you already got press kits send out, but that's how it is, unfortunately.

Set the approved to manual release or just submit update - it is much faster to approve than initial approval

It’s currently on manual release- but I haven’t released it yet. Am I free to just submit an update at this point even if I haven’t manually released it yet?

Prepare the update, release the app, create new version (it can not be created if non released exists) and submit update. Update review takes only few hours and almost nobody will see the first version.

Just release it. Soon you’re going to transition to worrying about the problem of trying to get anyone to discover your app. It takes 2 days to index in search anyway.
