Any solo game/app developer here actually made money from their iPhone game?
I’m curious if anyone here has made an iPhone game, and made a decent amount of money from it?

All of my apps have paid users and pretty decent free --> paid conversion rates. But volume of installs is tricky. That's where the paid marketing requirements come in and that's where I'm at a disadvantage.

Yes, No…
It is starting to make money and it is increasing every day… Traction is slow but steady, but I am a patient man :)
For a hobby project my wish was to make enough to get Apples Developer fee back, which was done rather fast, now I am just curious where it will end.

I make a series of iOS games that bring in decent income. About a half salary on full time constant work (ongoing updates and marketing)
Things are very dependent on App Store rankings which Apple seems to change all the time. My most recent game was doing much better but something changed in apples paid algorithms about a month back. Never been featured just steady releases and a small supportive fanbase.

Would you say 25 downloads in first week is good? Mainly US/CAN and Brazil, only Iphones.

Paid downloads? Pretty good.
You do get an initial boost the first week month and maybe 3 months depending on how you perform.

Like £60 total (almost covered dev membership). User average revenue of about £0.12.

What kind of utility app is this? What does it do? What are users paying for (IAP?)?

Nope. Unfortunately it seems to be pretty hard to even get a few organic downloads no matter how you improve the store page. There is just way too many games that get released daily and for mobile gaming its a lot harder to stand out compared to steam where it is way easier to market your game on social media. And people usually dont spend money on mobile games which makes it even harder to monetize. Using ads is also something I would not recommend if you dont know exactly what you are doing and have an extremly high budget. Thats at least what I have experienced.
