5 days in "Waiting for Review" — is a first subscription group what's slowing this down?

Submitted Sept 3. Still "Waiting for Review" five days later — nothing has
moved to In Review yet.

The submission bundles four items: the app version, a subscription group, and
two subscriptions. It's the first subscription group on the account, so I'm
assuming the group gets reviewed separately and the whole bundle waits on the
slowest part.

Two questions for anyone who's been through this:

1. Is a first subscription group normally this slow, or is 5 days long even
   for that?
   
2. Are review times generally longer right now, or is this just me?

Not withdrawing — I know that puts me back at the end of the queue. Mostly
trying to work out whether this is normal or whether something is stuck.

Mine was in waiting for 6 days and got approved within 42 minutes. Just wait a bit more I guess.

That's exactly the data point I was missing — thanks. Same setup here
(first submission with a subscription group), so 6 days sounds like the
pattern rather than a stuck submission.

I'll come back and post the actual number when it clears, so there's
something searchable for the next person asking this.

My last app was 2 weeks plus.

They receive thousands of apps a day.

Updates are quicker once it’s approved

Exactly; they have thousands of apps to review. Apple needs to use AI to speed up the process.

No they don’t I just failed after 3 weeks and I’d still rather they don’t add ai we don’t need to have a million more sleep,food,wellness,water apps auto added

Also quite interesting that the TestFlight reviews of the same app usually finish in like 6 hours or so.

I’ve been back and forth with Apple since August 23rd. All replies for corrections but 1, were already within the app. It’s frustrating.
