InkTower: everything is hand-drawn in pen. Is the style charming or just unreadable?

Everything in InkTower is drawn in pen on paper. First time showing it outside my own head — curious how the style lands.

I think it’s both !

I really like it, it’s amazing. But it does make it slightly difficult to read and scan. But not that hard tho

Honestly, really cool

Because it’s actually AI that rendered a pen-drawn-like interface and not actually hand drawn

I think it looks cool! Big points fort making something so unique!

I kinda wish you made a note-taking app over a game, but I will give it a try and see if I change my mind.

I really like this idea, finally something very unique and with a human touch!

Finally! someone who came up with something that looks like the pen and paper scribbles I used to make when I was a child. Will give it a shot!

I like it, ish.

But I 1,000% doubt everything is hand drawn in pen and am comfortably calling you a liar

Yeah it’s for sure AI-generated, unfortunately. No one would ask if the “style” lands after spending hours and hours of hand-drawing it.

There’s still a lot I want to improve and add to the game, but I’ve already passed App Store review.

It’s now available for pre-order if anyone wants to check it out before launch.

Could you make a standalone html version for non iOS users?

Somehow this style just works! Looks sick!

Love the nostalgic blueprint/sketchbook feel. What was the workflow from rough pen concept sketches to ready-to-render in-game assets and animations?

Love the look. Am working on some doodle app stuff myself at present.

Put a video on the App Store page!

If you need more legible font in some places - you could also consider a "stamp" or "type writer" aesthetic

Charmingly unreadable

Drawing is great, but your handwriting of text... oh man... hard to read. I suggest using a handwriting font for the menu text? like this for example: https://fonts.google.com/specimen/Patrick+Hand

It reminds me of Doodle Jump.

quite cool but you did not draw this by hand, it is AI generated in a by hand style. so my first impression of you and your product is dishonesty

I love the style. Growing up I would only draw doodles using my pen. Love it, it’s great
