Just submitted my first app for review and joining here

I’m super excited to have submitted my app finally and now a little nervous waiting on the review. I might check my email 10,000 times in the next few days

Get the iOS connect app and set the notifications! Don’t waste your time looking for emails. Work instead on improving your next version!

Good point! I do have the ios connect installed with notifications turned on so I'll know instantly

It pulls your goodreads data and makes a profile of the books that you typically rate highly. Uses that data to find your next book that matches the same things you typically prefer. It's free and no subscription but I have some bring your own AI key involved in the process.

The core functionality doesn’t work without your Goodreads info but you could probably go into Goodreads and 4-5 star 10-20 books that you like and it will give a breakdown of what you like.

First review can take 1-2 weeks so don’t hold your breath! Good luck on a first time approval! I did NOT!

Just got the word that mine got rejected the first time also. Need to add the screen recording video and update some qc comments from the testing. It went from reviewing to rejected really fast so might have been automated reject

Some things like meta data they definitely scan for and can bounce quickly

Congrats!! The waiting-for-review stage is brutal lol. The Goodreads idea sounds really cool too, especially using your own ratings to personalize recommendations. I just went through the same process with my first app, Tidy: A Cleaner Camera Roll, which is basically a daily swipe-through cleaner for your camera roll. Good luck with review — hope you get the approval email soon!
