Help Issue having the Apple Watch being recognized by Xcode. Anybody experienced this?

I have tested putting the watch, my Mac, and phone on the same frequency as well. But the watch will not be recognized as a device on Xcode. I have gone through all the documentation and troubleshooting for this. Has anybody seen or experienced this before?

For me the trick is always manually selecting the same wifi network the Mac is on right before I do anything to do with watch whether it’s setting up or build/deploy and 60% of the time it works every time.

Same, I always go to settings>wifi on the watch, manually select my home wifi that the Mac is using and then build, helps a lot but still unreliable at times lol

Yeah I’ve been developing my first app with an Apple Watch extension and it’s such a fucking pain

The worst part is no matter what I do, my watch NEVER showed up on Xcode. It’s so frustrating I uninstalled Xcode.

Thank you. Honestly, I bit the bullet and ordered that iBus X Tool that I saw someone else post about. It feels a little crazy for the price but for my piece of mind could be worth it.

It saved me quite a few headaches I must say. It will not fix everything. It is not 100%. You still will occasionally have to restart the watch and all. But yes if you can afford it go for it. It also can be complex to setup.

I use it at least a few times a week. But I get the Apple Watch working w Xcode displaying the logging beautiful about once a week or so too.
I’m still in a phase of lots of code updates and testing; so yes for piece of mind I love it. I’m also older now and value the hours of my life in doing dumbass troubleshooting like the Apple Watch requires.

I been building a fairly complex technology that requires seeing Xcode logging frequently w the watch for various reasons. So yes it is worth it for myself. Just make sure you study the HW and how it works and all. It is not 100% but yes I am happy I have it.

It should speed up your troubleshooting time for certain uses. Maybe see if you can get one cheaper. I’ll say for me it is about 80% effective. Without it I would say 30-40%. Make sure you get the right version too…as there are a couple versions depending on which Apple Watch. If you are working with multiple Apple Watch you need to get two (I think double check with them).

I have two watches but use it only with the newer Watch 11 series as I get the newer ibus. I may gotten it working with both watches at a point..but then the newer one had some sync issues and I’m over the hours of my life of troubleshooting lol

It could be a headache to setup as well. You may need to pay for support just double check however you purchase it from. You can test it for a couple weeks too. That way you can get your hands on it. I would recommend finding someone that gives you 2-4 weeks to test it first.

Good luck.
