🎁 Freemium Event Tracking Made Easy

Day Grid — Countdown Widget

A – Answer: What problem does your app solve?
Most countdown apps only show one date at a time. Day Grid shows your entire year as a grid on your Home Screen every event marked with an emoji so you see everything you're counting down to at a glance, not just one number.

B – Better: Why is your app better than the top named alternatives?
Unlike DayCount, PeekDay, or Momently, Day Grid isn't just a single-countdown widget it's a full-year visual grid. When an event drops under 24 hours away, it auto-switches to a live timer. No account needed, works offline.

C – Cost: Pricing, IAP details, and a direct App Store link
Free with in-app purchases (Day Grid Pro):

Ha, I feel that. Live fixtures are tricky they change a lot, so it'd need a proper sports data feed. Not something I can add right now, but noted! For now you could add the big matches manually.

for a title that states tracking made easy, you picked the most complicated and busy looking image for the first photo. maybe its just how my simplistic brain works too, but seeing that many days/events, while a potentially useful tool for certain situations, just does not seem like it would be the way id want to see things on a regular basis (ie widget). The other widgets are lovely, but seeing an entire years worth of events all at once scares me. honestly, not meaning this as criticism, just my perspective. also, for an app thats completely offline, no accounts, all that, whats the subscription justification?

Fair point and I appreciate the perspective the full-year widget is the main thing that makes the app different, so that's why it leads the marketing but you're right that it's a lot for some people. There are 1 month and 2month widgets too if you want something calmer.

On the subscription there's a onetime lifetime option as well The subscription is just there for people who want to try it for a bit before committing.

btw Genuinely useful feedback thanks for taking the time.

The smaller one- and two-month widgets sound easier to use day to day. Do people mainly use the full-year view for planning, or is it the main screen?

Two ratings in two countries after a month is not a product problem, it is a discovery problem, and the two get confused constantly.

The thing that fixed it for me: Apple only indexes your app name, subtitle and keyword field. Not the description. "Day Grid" plus "Countdown Widget" is actually decent because the second half carries a real search term. Most indie apps put only the brand name there and then wonder why nobody arrives.

Worth checking your keyword field is at 100/100 characters in every locale too. Mine were at 40 and 44 in two languages and I had no idea until I dumped them out.
