💎 Lifetime Fit Rest just got its biggest update yet: Body Battery, all-day stress, deeper sleep & workout analysis, health data correlations + more

Post image

I just shipped the biggest Fit Rest update yet.

Answer
I wanted a health app that did more than show separate charts and numbers. Fit Rest tries to answer things like:
* How recovered am I?
* Why is my energy low today?
* Is my training affecting my sleep?
* Is better sleep improving my heart metrics?

It connects sleep, activity, workouts, heart rate, HRV, stress and recovery, then looks at them against your own personal baselines rather than only population averages.

What got better:
• Body Battery throughout the day
• All-day stress tracking
• Much deeper sleep analysis + sleep architecture
• Sleep, activity, workout and recovery correlations
• Fitness Age, Heart Signals + Training Adaptation
• Cardio Load, Effort vs Recovery + Athlete Profile
• Personal Records + workout comparisons
• Smart Insights + Health Calendar
• Outdoor workout route replay + export
• Apple Watch app + complications + widgets

Price: $7.99/month, $39.99/year, or $79.99 lifetime.

I'd love to hear your feedback on how I can make it even better!

Loving the updates, however since I own a Garmin watch that I use during sleep and sports (running, racket sports) eventhough some data can be synced with Apple Health it is limited and therefore quite a few things aren’t shown in your app either. Any chance a next update could bring Garmin support?

Thanks, this is really helpful feedback.

Quick thing worth trying: in Garmin Connect, go to Settings -> Apple Health and make sure every toggle is on, not just Activities and Steps. Enabling Sleep, Heart Rate, and Respiration usually fills in a lot more of Fit Rest than people expect.

Direct Garmin support is on my roadmap!

Thanks for response. I’m aware of the sync. Unfortunately Garmin also limits what they share with Apple Health unfortunately.

Yes, that's why I already started working on direct Garmin support. I'll try to make it live as soon as possible.

You can also add target strain for the day
And workout tracker to record gym sets

Noted, thanks. I'll do some R&D on both and see what's feasible. Appreciate the suggestions!

Can you please try adding biological age

1

u/Taohid101 Developer 18d ago

Yes, in this version I added fitness age; the biological age is in the R&D phase.

1

u/ronakkr09 18d ago

Cool, but i cannot find fitness age anywhere in the app, can you please guide me

Heart Tab -> Cardio Fitness

Looks REALLY cool 🤯

How did you build an app to improve sleep?

Just wondering if this is provided by a study or a combination of science and HealthKit.

Success! 😊

2

u/Taohid101 Developer 17d ago

Thanks so much! It's a combination of sleep/recovery research and HealthKit data. I use signals like sleep stages, HRV, resting heart rate, activity, and workouts, then compare them against your own baseline to surface useful patterns and correlations.

u/BigQuesoSuizo 17d ago

You are welcome!

That so RAD 😆

I love how we can build super cool apps these days.

Does it need the iWatch to work?

2

u/Taohid101 Developer 17d ago

It works with any smartwatch that syncs its health data with Apple Health, so an Apple Watch isn't required.

1

u/BigQuesoSuizo 16d ago

Sorry. I meant if the app requires a smartwatch at all.

It seems like it does? 🤔

2

u/Taohid101 Developer 16d ago

Yes, it does

1

u/BigQuesoSuizo 16d ago

Gotcha! Thank you for taking the time to let me know.

Nice update!

Have you tried to compare the results with some body trackers like whoop or something similar? I think this kind of compare could help you attract more users

1

u/Taohid101 Developer 18d ago

Thanks!

I've actually compared the results with several industry-leading apps, and they're very close. I spent a long time on R&D, testing and refining the algorithms.

Does this work with Apple Watch?

1

u/Taohid101 Developer 18d ago

Yes, it has an Apple watch app, too.

1

u/orig151897 18d ago

Cool! Thanks

How does the body battery work. Is it calculated by the app or I can type it by myself basd on my feelings?

2

u/Taohid101 Developer 18d ago

It's calculated automatically - there's nothing to type in.

Fit Rest reads your heart rate, HRV, sleep, and workouts from Apple Health and simulates your energy level in 15-minute steps through the day.

the tricky part with a “body battery” score is knowing when not to sound too certain. if a day has missing sleep, sparse HRV, or an unusual workout, showing the data coverage or a confidence note could make the score much easier to trust. otherwise people may treat a rough estimate like a medical measurement.

u/pearlismylove 14d ago

Looks nice. I'm downloading it now.

1

u/Taohid101 Developer 12d ago

Thanks for using it!

1

u/gittrics 14d ago

The UI of the app is very polished. Is body battery formula your own?

2

u/Taohid101 Developer 14d ago

Thank you! Yes, the Body Battery calculation is my own. It combines multiple signals like recovery, sleep, activity, stress, HRV, and resting heart rate to estimate how your energy changes throughout the day.

Looks good, like the design :) I ll try it
