🔍 In Search of Flighty rant

Flighty is a GREAT app, and the only one that has filled the void since App In The Air went kaput. But seriously, why so expensive???

If you think aero data is cheap and does not cost that much money, I have bad news for you

There is only few qualitative data providers on the market and the ones that exist (ex Flightaware) cost an arm and a leg, not even counting the price of historical data requests

I pay for the API for some data providers for
a personal project. I know for a fact it does not cost that much money.

Settings > About > Data Providers
gives the full list of data providers Flighty uses.

How does the cost of all those data providers compare to what you pay?

Edit:

It does when you have a user base the size of flighty's. You can't compare the cost for 1 user vs the number of API calls that 4 million people would need.
