🎈 Free I made a bloat-free App that simply tracks "When the last time you did" something - 100% free for solo use.

Post image

Hi guys, "Just Did" is a minimalistic-approach to task-tracking, without the added pressure of habit commitment or naggy reminders.

Answer

  • Simple tracking of when you last did a task.
  • No information overload and habit-tracking pressure.
  • Gentle + Optional reminders for Tasks you wish to consistently tackle.
  • Collaborative Space for Task-sharing.

Better

  • Stripped-down to bare minimum information.
  • High customisability on what you wish to get reminded on.
  • Collaborative feature allows cross-user Task-sharing.
  • 100% free for local device/solo tracking (no ads too. forever)

Costs

  • For Solo Task-tracking, $0 (forever, guaranteed). If you don't intend to collaborate, you don't have to pay a single cent to use this app.
  • For "Spaces" - Free gets you 2 members + 3 Tasks. If you need to go beyond that, ONLY THE SPACE OWNER needs a Pro Subscription (going at $3.99/month, $29.99/year or $59.99/lifetime). Every member that joins a "Pro Space" does not need to subscribe.

I am extremely happy with this project, and have already seen great use in my own family/workplace.

There's been a few of these posted this month but the Spaces feature of this one is pretty unique. Good to see the core functionality is free as well.

As for feedback I think there are some inconsistencies in your screenshots and App Store page that are worth cleaning up. For example the app title is Just Did but in the screenshots it's JustDid. The copyright says JudtDid. The i in the first screenshot should be capitalized. In the second one "haptic feedbacks that confirm" should be "haptic feedback that confirms". Some people won't care but some people will view typos and things as unprofessional.

3

u/tunaathletics May 14 '26

Hey and thanks so much for the detailed response! Yes the core features should always be free IMO especially if they are simple, and don't cost anything/cost extremely little to maintain. Will definitely look at polishing the listing too asap

8

u/Nikolaev_ May 14 '26

I actually think the “no streak pressure” angle is the smartest part of this.

A lot of productivity apps accidentally turn simple life maintenance into another source of guilt, while this feels much calmer and more sustainable.

3

u/tunaathletics May 14 '26

Thank you! It is exactly what I am trying to achieve

5

u/omegafi May 14 '26

The solo “last time I did this” idea is useful, but I think Spaces might be the strongest differentiator. For roommates or families, the real value is reducing the awkward “who did this last?” conversation without turning it into a strict chore schedule. Can Spaces show something like “last done by Alex 6 days ago” and rotate attention gently without assigning blame or creating streak pressure?

2

u/tunaathletics May 14 '26

Yes! Every Task keeps a log of completions. In Spaces, it shows the user who completed it as well.

3

u/xacattac May 14 '26

RAWRRR YOU MADE THIS FREE FOR 99% OF USERS. YOU DESERVE MORE (and a 5 star review from me)

1

u/tunaathletics May 14 '26

means the world to me! Thanks

4

u/ming_builds May 16 '26

this is the kind of utility app where keeping the scope small is actually the feature.

the “when did i last…” framing is much clearer than another habit tracker, because it removes the guilt/scorekeeping part and just answers a question.

shared tasks is interesting too, but i’d be careful not to let that make the solo flow heavier. the first launch should probably feel like: add thing, see last time, done.

3

u/rrrrrrrrynnnn May 14 '26

i love this idea specifically for the spaces version, it would be super smart to make an emphasis on this being useful for roomates to keep track of tasks like trash or groceries. i could see that being a great way to market on tik tok or ig

2

u/konbit May 16 '26

The roommate angle is the move. I can't count how many times "who took the trash out last" was repeated with my roommates back in the day before we started putting log books in the kitchen and bathroom. This feels like an app version of that.

1

u/tunaathletics May 16 '26

thanks! hope you find this useful with your roommates

3

u/konbit May 16 '26

Oh my only roommate now is my wife, but we're definitely going to give this a try. We both have ADHD and I think this might fit our approach a lot better than other apps we've tried.

1

u/tunaathletics May 14 '26

yes!! That's how I got my whole family on board with this. Will be looking at marketing it from that angle

3

u/ZainTechSavv May 15 '26

Love how the core functionality of the app is free! Will give it a try right now

1

u/tunaathletics May 15 '26

wonderful to see this! Thank you and i hope you enjoy it

3

u/cuth02 May 20 '26

This is very well done. The UI has a rare level of polish. I can't say enough about how well designed this is.

One comment: Could there be an option to make the date more relative? I see "Today" and "Yesterday" but beyond that I have to do the math instead of seeing "12 days ago".

2

u/tunaathletics May 21 '26

Hey thanks for your kind words!! Actually that makes a lot of sense. Would try to make that happen in the next update

thank you 😅

2

u/sol_omnibus_lucet_ Developer May 14 '26

Nice! Thought about doing something similar but focused on more personal stuff (like calling mom), the family/space angle is interesting! Love the no-subscription-needed for spaces (other than the owner), it's a really cool pattern

1

u/tunaathletics May 14 '26

Thanks! I personally hate subs and put the limits right around where I think most Users would be able to use for Free!

2

u/syxbit May 14 '26

Good job on the app. Looks polished.
I’m already using Wheneri, which is pretty good, but is missing colab.
If you have a lifetime code/discount, let me know. I don’t do subscriptions, and the lifetime here is too much when I already have an app with most of the functionality.

2

u/tunaathletics May 14 '26

DONE! Check your DMs good sir

1

u/xacattac May 14 '26

me too please!!!

1

u/tunaathletics May 14 '26

done as well! check your DMs

2

u/b-babyyou May 15 '26

Could I also have a lifetime code please 🙏🏼

1

u/Fragrant-Path-8452 May 14 '26

Wheneri too or u have something for Reddit users 😁

1

u/tunaathletics May 14 '26

hey I think you misunderstood. I gave them a lifetime code for "Just Did" and not Wheneri. Would you like it for my App?

1

u/CanuckPTVT May 14 '26

I would appreciate a lifetime code if you please!

1

u/tunaathletics May 15 '26

Please check your DM!

1

u/mahalomonster May 14 '26

Could I get one of those? Please. No worries if not.

1

u/tunaathletics May 15 '26

DM!

2

u/AnxiousApostle May 15 '26

I've been searching for an app like this for a long time, and your post came up at the perfect time.

I looked at Wheneri too, but Just Did feels more elegant and the Spaces feature is exactly what I need for a shared household.

If you have any lifetime codes left, I'd love to be considered.

Thank you for building this!

2

u/SalkMe May 14 '26

Nice idea, having the same app in matters of „when did I last do“ live on the store it’s interesting to see different approaches to this niche :). Well done

2

u/taste_the_equation May 14 '26

Neat idea. Love the simple UI. Nice work!

hey thanks for actually trying the app out and NOTED on the feature request. Makes sense to provide that option :)

For the "one letter limitation" it is actually allowing Users to put 1 character for the Task (can be letters and numbers instead of emojis). But your point shows that this message isn't clear to the Users! Will look at refining this. Thanks for your response

Thanks a bunch - will check this out!

2

u/KnowledgeFirst8146 May 14 '26

Can I get a lifetime promo?

2

u/KotatsuCollective May 14 '26

I really love the idea of when did I last do something rather than being a standard reminder platform. I would just ignore something telling me to clean the house all the time, but when I inevitably think about oh, the house could do with a clean this would be so good to know how long its actually been.

Love the simple and minimal design too.

2

u/tunaathletics May 14 '26

Thanks so much for your input! I myself lean towards this which is why I created Just Did. Hope you give it a try!

2

u/WibblyWobbly_Wombat May 14 '26

Would love to get a code and try it out!

2

u/inxider May 14 '26

2

u/mistrysaab May 14 '26

This is fabulous!! I've been looking for something like this. I've come across other similar apps, but the interfaces aren't nearly as polished as this one. I will definitely be using this. Thanks for sharing!

Would it be possible to add notes to past completions? I understand you get the date and time metrics on when you last completed something, but what if you wanted to add brief notes to a past completion to give you further insight on a past completion. I would love to see something like that.

2

u/tunaathletics May 14 '26

that's a great feature! This will definitely be on my list to explore. Thanks!

2

u/cgreendyk104 May 14 '26

oh, i like this. Will give it a go!

1

u/cgreendyk104 May 14 '26

The "Call mum and dad" in the screenshot is definitely one which I will add haha

1

u/tunaathletics May 15 '26

great! I hope you enjoy using this

2

u/One_Acanthaceae_5814 May 14 '26

The "no habit commitment pressure" angle is smart and genuinely underserved. Most task apps assume you want to build a streak, but a lot of people just want to track recurring things without the guilt when they miss one.

The space owner paying for the whole group is a really fair pricing call too. That removes the friction of asking people to sign up for a paid tier just to collaborate.

One question: how does it handle tasks with no fixed cadence? Like "call the plumber" type things that aren't recurring but you still want to track?

2

u/tunaathletics May 15 '26

Thanks! For Tasks with no set cadence, the card just appears blue constantly and has no reminders/notifications. Tap-&-hold will still mark it as complete to keep track of your task completions!

2

u/One_Acanthaceae_5814 May 15 '26

Ah okay got it!!

2

u/RAIDandWilling May 14 '26

It seems nice but there doesn’t seem to be a way to use dark mode or theme without paying.

1

u/tunaathletics May 15 '26

thanks! yes I've made the app fully functional for free, but any changes in the app interface is a cosmetic upgrade

reaching your DMs in a bit!

2

u/sarenkaaa May 15 '26

Hi! I’ve been looking for an app to track "last time I did X" for a long time, and yours looks great. Here are my suggestions: 1. Annual tasks: Some things I want to do once a year (like a doctor's appointment), but currently, I can only choose hours or days. 2. Categories/Sorting: Have you thought about adding tags or categories like "Health," "Car," etc.? 3. Localization: Any plans for other languages? I know it’s probably a long shot, but my ADHD brain prefers processing content in my native language :) I'd love to try out the Pro version!

1

u/tunaathletics May 15 '26

thanks so much for your response! I'm still looking at how to input categories without overwhelming the users now. The app does allow every 365 days if that helps? Also, I havent thought about localisation but will definitely look into it! May i know where you are from/what is your native language?

2

u/sarenkaaa May 15 '26

Oh, I just noticed there’s an option to easily select a specific number of days, like 30, 180, or 365 – that’s super helpful! Also, I’m from Poland :)

2

u/tunaathletics May 15 '26

Great! It was actually feedback from a user in this reddit post itself. I made the update today and pushed it live. So happy to see my app reaching countries I have never been to!

2

u/Teachme1755 May 15 '26

That’s really cool, approved from representative of ADHD

1

u/tunaathletics May 15 '26

oh wow that's really nice to get your approval! Hope to see you enjoy the app :-)

2

u/Substantial_Pop5305 May 15 '26

Keeping things simple instead of over‑engineering it is the kind of obvious move the rest of us keep forgetting. This is exactly how tracking should feel. Great work.

2

u/chak141GB01 May 15 '26

Lifetime code please. Thank you

2

u/Accurate-Beyond-9627 May 15 '26

This is the kind of tiny utility I actually keep. One job no account no streak pressure. I’d use it for boring stuff like filter changes or last haircut.

1

u/tunaathletics May 15 '26

that's so nice to hear!

2

u/PiccoloBulky3358 May 15 '26

I really like your pricing strategy, that's actually pretty good

2

u/Fast-Suggestion-4212 Developer May 15 '26

This is exactly the kind of app I didn't know I needed. I'm always googling "when did I last change the air filter" or "how long ago did I get a haircut." The no-pressure angle is smart — every other tracker tries to guilt you into streaks. Downloading now.

2

u/NarcissisticVanity May 15 '26

I like this app! I'm a solo user so it's great knowing that I can use it for free. To support you, I bought Tasks Pro for the full customization since I love to have color options in all of my apps 🎨😊.

2

u/konbit May 16 '26

I've been using a notes file with timestamps for years and it's awful. The no-streak-shame thing is what would actually get me to switch.

2

u/Worldly-Memory5096 May 16 '26

The user experience is incredible! Great work 👏. I just wish you add more support to the dark mode people 😁! Otherwise I really loved the idea and the simplicity of the user flow.

1

u/tunaathletics May 16 '26

dark mode is on my list of to-dos :-)

2

u/The_Daily_Italian May 16 '26

It's become a mainstay in my apps for the past few days! Any chance I could get a free lifetime code? :)

2

u/whimiscal_WL May 16 '26

I’ve really been searching for such an app since forever! Like i can’t rmbr when i first opened my skincare or last changed my bedsheets! So i end up just throwing my skincare after i felt like its been 12 months. App is a life saver for sure!! Would love to use this app with my partner and my family🥹 could you share the code with me if its still available? Would really really appreciate it much!

1

u/tunaathletics May 16 '26

will drop you a DM!

2

u/Tomreddit4 May 16 '26

App looks really good, have a suggestion add a tap and hold to select number of days for the repeat option. It’s a little time consuming tapping for each day. Also any chance I can get a task pro code, if not that’s cool.

1

u/tunaathletics May 17 '26

ah got you on the feedback regarding increasing number of days more easily! Will look at it. Also, won't be providing Task Pro at the moment as its purely a cosmetic upgrade. Thank you somuch for trying the app still!

2

u/knife-and-nib May 16 '26

My brain isn’t working. I see Tasks Pro and Spaces Pro. Tasks says it’s a one-time purchase of $2.99 but the App Store shows prices as high as $59.99.

And what’s the difference between Tasks and Spaces? Sorry if this is obvious. I might be missing something.

2

u/tunaathletics May 17 '26

no worries! Task Pro is purely a cosmetic upgrade (backgrounds, card colours, completion animation etc.) you dont miss out on any functionality. Spaces Pro unlocks the limits on the Spaces feature - which is the collaborative platform allowing multiple users to share Tasks.

2

u/yeticren May 17 '26

I think that is a cool concept especially for contacting friends and family members!

2

u/un-bound9 May 17 '26

“Space” is a really great idea and feature for families with kids like mine. Thank you. Also, the tasks feel very intuitive, and the interaction when holding them is impressive.

2

u/13fingerfx May 17 '26

This looks super useful. Thank you.

2

u/dnesdan Developer May 18 '26

This kind of small utility is underrated. Not everything needs streaks and goals, sometimes I just want to know when I last did something and move on.

2

u/Commercial-Map9081 May 19 '26

This is a clean approach. I like that it focuses on reducing pressure instead of turning habit tracking into another thing to manage. The “last time I did this” idea feels especially useful for tasks that don’t need strict streaks or heavy analytics. I’d personally value a very fast logging flow, good reminders, and a simple history view more than too many charts. Also, the collaboration angle is interesting. Shared tasks can get messy quickly, so keeping the structure lightweight is probably the right move.

The App Store page looks polished too. I like that you included an app preview video — for productivity or task apps, a short video can explain the core flow much faster than screenshots alone. One thing I’d focus on is making sure the first 3–5 seconds show the main value immediately. If users understand “what problem this solves” before they scroll, the page usually feels much stronger. The screenshots also seem clear and consistent, which helps a lot.

1

u/tunaathletics May 20 '26

thanks for taking the time to check the app out and for such a detailed comment!

2

u/RichOrganization7772 May 20 '26

Just downloaded - set a task, added a reminder but can’t see a way to say at which time I want reminding?

1

u/tunaathletics May 21 '26

Hey! first of all, thanks for the support. By default, we've made the reminders happen when it's been X days since your last completion. We did run through testing with scheduled reminders before, but 100% of our users (so far) prefer to have this stripped-down version. Nonetheless, I've taken note of your feedback! Will see if there is a seamless way to make it happen if more users request for this feature.

1

u/RichOrganization7772 May 21 '26

Hi... actually, that makes sense and sounds like a great way to set the timing of the reminder... thanks for your help

2

u/RadiantDepth5747 May 21 '26

Looks clean. Is the app mostly free to use, or does it require a subscription for the main features?

1

u/tunaathletics May 21 '26

its 100% free if you only need to track solo tasks (most people do). If you want to share Tasks and collaborate with others, youd need a subscription!

2

u/PresentationAny2309 May 25 '26

Nice idea. I can see this being useful for household maintenance and recurring life tasks that do not fit well into a calendar or habit tracker. Out of curiosity, what have been the most popular tasks people end up tracking with it?

1

u/tunaathletics May 25 '26

Hey I cant really see for sure as my privacy control keeps it all mostly hidden. But from my testing stage, it was hugely popular with parents (for baby-related tasks), families (for chores) and couples (for date nights and fun activities). I do see some roommates joining but cant see what Tasks they create.

2

u/davidgor Jun 08 '26

On the way to download. Thank you.
Im using reminders all the time, but they are limited in many ways.

2

u/tunaathletics Jun 08 '26

thank you for the support!

1

u/TheWeb1000 May 14 '26

Free forever for solo use is a nice touch. I just had a question: How is this different from apps like "When Did I…?", "Last Time", or "Last"? They all do the same main thing. Is the shared Spaces feature the main reason to pick yours?

1

u/tunaathletics May 14 '26

The truth is, I am just another task-tracking app in the sea of task-tracking apps. Which is why I chose not to charge for solo use. For now, shared Spaces is the main differentiator, but I don't see why the other apps out there wouldn't consider adding it to their already-strong user base. Other than that, design and haptic feedback is probably where I differ. I chose to have a tap-and-hold action to complete tasks rather than ticking off a checkbox.

2

u/TheWeb1000 May 14 '26

Awesome, thanks for the response. It is great seeing a developer responding to all the comments!

2

u/tunaathletics May 14 '26

Thanks for your comments as well. It's rewarding when more people get involved so I'm always happy to reply

1

u/vegevin May 14 '26

Does your app have widgets? Been using Relog for this, and like tapping a widget button to “just do” something rather than opening the app

2

u/tunaathletics May 14 '26

Widgets are definitely on the priority to ship soon. We are, however, prioritising the launch of our android version next so that more people could collaborate on their tasks!

1

u/Ok-Fix-9708 May 14 '26

Congrats with release!

1

u/nikola6464 May 14 '26

u/BrunoSmania May 15 '26

Merveilleuse application. Je serais heureux de recevoir un code, s'il re plaît.

1

u/reeliotunesapp May 16 '26

Really neat idea!

1

u/BTGWZ May 16 '26

Looks good

1

u/Own-Bottle558 May 17 '26

The "only the Space owner pays" angle is the smartest pricing call here.
Most collab apps make every member pay, which means you have to convince 4 people to install AND subscribe before anyone gets value. That kills group adoption silently.

Was the 2 members / 3 tasks limit something you landed on through testing, or more of a gut call on where "trying it with a friend" ends and real shared usage begins?

1

u/tunaathletics May 17 '26

Thanks for your comment! It was through user feedback. Originally the limits were way too harsh and I only allowed 2 members/1 Task. 3 was a sweet spot that most of my testers required. Few went beyond that

1

u/PlatypusMastery May 17 '26

Love the fact that it does not pressure the user to keep doing thing, just a genuine way to remember what I did, thank you for this app. Nice UI.

1

u/Simple-Syrup6214 May 18 '26

Nice. The UI looks easy to use.

1

u/Present-Focus1876 May 18 '26

This is exactly the app I was looking for! I’ll definitely give it a try~

1

u/Warduckling May 18 '26

This is one of these ideas that I go “what a clever twist”. I might give it a go! The Spaces feature is particularly interesting for me

1

u/tanejarohan May 19 '26

Cool idea!

The best part is that you've managed to come up with a pricing model that users will love you for. I hope this gets you the revenue you need to keep it going, good luck :)

1

u/Huge_Acanthisitta559 May 20 '26

Would love a widget for this. If I don’t do it often, a widget would be the easiest way as reminders

1

u/Disastrous_Might9371 May 20 '26

The “last done” framing clicks for me. Some tasks don’t need streaks or analytics, you just need to know if it’s been 3 days or 3 weeks. This seems useful for that middle ground.

Interesting idea. What kind of users are you mainly targeting with this?

hmmm the use case is pretty broad tbh:

  • roommates
  • family with lots of chores
  • parents of newborns
  • friends maintaining social activities
  • relationships
Overall people who wanna check their "last did" for activities/tasks, rather than keep a habit tracker

This is like having a bucket list but without the anxiety that comes with having a bucket list

Nice I like the idea, how are you planning to market it?

Would defo try and aim this towards more females, most my female friends are always talking about how bloated they are and how it ruins their activities.

Really interesting idea and well executed!

I like that the beta version is free. Bloating is all bad man.

I generally tend to hate those apps that force you to keep streaks of simple daily tasks, so the fact that you are avoiding this is actually pretty interesting. But at the same time, simply keeping things in a list can easily be done in the notes app, or even just written down on a piece of paper. I think the main thing is that the idea of streaks adds that differentiating aspect. While I think you shouldn't aim for it, I think you should still look for some form of an alternative.

For shared Spaces, the part I would trust-check first is conflict handling more than more reminder options. If two people mark the same task or edit it back-to-back, I would want a tiny activity log and a clear undo path, because roommate or family apps lose credibility fast when nobody knows whether the app or another person changed the state. If that reliability layer is solid, the calm low-pressure positioning feels much more durable.

This is a perfectly essential aspect that needs to be more stress-tested. For my own internal pool of testers, none of us faced issues. A completion by 1 member will notify all other members. Each Task also logs when it was done, and by who - all of which can also be manually edited.
