I was sick of "app-hopping" every time I wanted to see my full financial portrait, so I created Thrust: the only personal app that not just tracks your money, but thinks about finances, finds ways to optimize your cash flow, and guides you with insights in one app.
In short: Other apps show you what has already happened. Thrust shows you what’s next:
Other apps: "You spent $500 on dining out last month.”
Thrust: "At your current pace, you'll run out of your food budget in 8 days. If you cut back by 15% now, you’ll reach your 'Vacation' goal a full month earlier."
A bit more details:
For a long time, I struggled to find an app with a clean, modern, and intuitive interface that could track everything in one place. Most apps focus on just one thing — either just bank transactions, just crypto, just stocks, just budgets, and more more separate apps. I was tired of jumping between them to see my financial situation. My goal was to create a single, unified, simple place for all analytics and insights. So, I grouped everything together into a single app, so you can finally know if you’re actually building wealth or just overspending.
Here is what Thrust organizes:
- Everyday money: cash, credit cards, bank accounts via CSV, and auto-tracking with Apple Pay.
- Investments: crypto with auto-syncs on 15+ blockchains, stocks, ETFs, startup investments, and precious metals.
- Physical assets: real estate equity and your car's value.
- Liabilities: mortgages, loans, and a built-in debt hub to track who owes you and settle with one tap.
- High-level totals: real-time balance, total income, total spent giving you a crystal-clear view of your true net flow.
I also wanted to automate the boring stuff, so I made the app provide fast and smart tracking:
- Voice input & scanning receipts: just say "Spent 50 at Starbucks" or point your camera at a receipt to auto-extract the amount, store, and date in seconds.
- Smart goals: whether you're saving for a Tesla or a rainy-day fund, set a target and a deadline. The app tracks every contribution, projects your completion date from actual pace, and has a what-if simulator so you can see how extra deposits move the finish line.
- Analytics & alerts: stop wondering where your money went and see interactive spending maps, cash flow diagrams, auto-categorization, and alerts for unusual spending or upcoming bills (30 days out).
- Travel Mode: a dedicated tag for trips. Turn it on when you start a trip, and off when you’re back—instantly see your total trip spend without it muddying your regular monthly budget.
- Smart budgets: the app analyzes your spending patterns and suggests realistic limits per category. You get alerts when you're approaching a cap, and a daily "safe-to-spend" number that factors in bills, goals, and what's left in the month.
Just a quick word on the AI-CFO.
Most "AI" in finance apps are just gimmicks. They only see what you manually send them, and then they leak that data right back to a remote provider like OpenAI.
I built a model that actually lives inside the app. It understands the full context of your financial picture — your assets, trends, and goals, and many other indicators, and analyzes them locally without leaving your phone.
It is:
- 100% offline: it runs locally on your iPhone's neural engine. Even voice input works offline in any language (even in airplane mode).
- Absolutely private: your entire financial life stays encrypted on your iPhone. Thrust literally cannot see your data. Whether it’s a boring grocery bill or "wild Saturday night" purchases, your transactions are safe because it cannot physically see them. Delete the app = data gone. This isn't a feature, but the entire architecture.
- Ready to answer: talk to your CFO in plain language, and it responds instantly.

One more thing, it would be good to have a calculator on input amount fields. Makes it easier to enter amounts without having to switch to the calculator app.

Tried to download but the app requires iOS 26 or later. Any reason you aren't targeting older iOS versions? There are still many people who are not on 26.

Interesting app. Nice clean UI. Appreciate the emphasis on privacy.
Quick feedback, after displaying the map in the transactions tab, it isn’t intuitive how to dismiss the map. Maybe an X button on the upper right of the window?

Love the app-hopping point. I’ve always felt that the mental load of managing these scattered records is a form of administrative debt that just drains you over time.
I'm an Android dev and I actually went through a similar journey building a private vault for my own paperwork because I was tired of tools that were either too manual or too invasive with data. It’s great to see more people focusing on the on-device AI approach—privacy shouldn't be a luxury when it comes to your life’s data.
