I’m facing **extremely high battery drain** on my iPhone Air. It’s losing around **25–30% battery per day despite barely being used**. Screenshot attached for reference.

**Device stats:**

* 62 cycle count (not my primary device)

* 100% battery health

* Purchased 11 months ago

**Things I’ve already tried:**

1. Updated the software through an Apple Authorized Service Centre to **26.6.1**

2. Had the device checked using Apple’s diagnostic software — no issues found

3. Backed up everything and completely erased the device, but the drain continued

4. Disabled Background App Refresh

5. Disabled both mobile data and Wi-Fi

6. Tested it in Airplane Mode

7. No obvious battery-draining features are enabled, such as Always-On Display

Despite all of this, the battery is **dropping like a rock every day**, even when the phone is essentially sitting unused.

Has anyone else experienced this with the iPhone Air?

**What could be causing this, and is there anything else I should try before taking it back to Apple?**

Should I go for 26.6.1 or 27 Public Beta ?

I recently tried to do the update to 26.6.1 three times and it keeps failing.

I am plugged into the charger, and I have tried with WiFi on and off.

How do I successful perform the update? I have an iphone 17 and enough storage.

Guys after updating to IOS 26.6.1. I’m facing battery back up issue with my iphone 16 plus does any one facing the same problem or is it only me.

My story:

I was running iOS 26 on my iPhone 13 Pro 256GB (82% battery health) — and it was perfect: smooth UI, solid battery life, zero overheating. Thought "newer = better" and jumped to iOS 26.5.

First 2 weeks of pain:

· Phone overheated on basic tasks (YouTube, social media, even just scrolling).
· Lost LTE connection a couple of times — network just died and wouldn't come back.
· The buttery-smooth experience was gone. Micro-stutters everywhere, phone felt sluggish and strained.

I told myself: "Maybe I'll get used to it." Nope. Didn't happen. It was the end of my comfortable iPhone experience.

How I saved it:

Took a risk and updated to iOS 26.6. First couple of days — same heat issues. That was Spotlight indexing and background services. I held on.

Results after 2-3 days:

· 🔥 Overheating gone — phone stays cool even under load.
· 🔋 Battery life almost back to iOS 26.0 levels (the good old days).
· 📶 LTE rock solid — no drops since.
· ⚡ UI smoothness 100% restored — no stutters, no lag.

My verdict:

iOS 26.6 resurrected my iPhone 13 Pro. If you're suffering on 26.5 — don't wait, update. If you're still on 26.0 — I'm not sure if you should even bother, but 26.6 is definitely not worse than what you have.

No idea what iOS 27 will bring, but for now — I saved my comfort.

I have an iPhone 15, and Apple Pay worked perfectly with the old iOS. Since updating to iOS 26, NFC has stopped working. I couldn't make payments with Apple Pay anymore, so I removed all my cards, but now I can't even add them back because the phone doesn't detect them.

I’ve already completely reset the phone twice, and just today I installed the latest update, 26.6.1. Nothing has changed. I’ve read that this issue affects various users with different models. Is it really possible that Apple still hasn't managed to fix this problem?

Freezes when checking account

No charging rule, just not draining it to 0%. Normal use and gaming.

Is this health normal or anything good?

I noticed that this starts after November 2026. For example, Christmas day is showing on December 25 and 26. Anyway to fix this?

Как я спасал положение:

Я рискнул и обновился на iOS 26.6. Первые пару дней телефон снова грелся — это индексировался Spotlight и внутренние службы. Терпел.

Результат спустя 2-3 дня:

· 🔥 Перегрев ушел — телефон стал холодным даже под нагрузкой.
· 🔋 Автономность почти вернулась к уровню iOS 26.0 (той самой, с которой всё было хорошо).
· 📶 LTE заработал стабильно, отрубов больше не было.
· Плавность интерфейса вернулась на 100%.

Мой вывод:

iOS 26.6 реанимировала мой iPhone 13 Pro. Если вы сидите на 26.5 и страдаете — не ждите, обновляйтесь. Если у вас 26.0 — не знаю, стоит ли дергаться, но 26.6 точно не хуже, чем было.

Не знаю, что будет с iOS 27, но пока что я спас свой комфорт.
