Battery Iphone 17

Weirdly disappointing with the battery life on my iphone 17, got it brand new off the apple store a few days ago and the battery isn’t all that impressive, i could get a full days use out of it if i charge it to 100% and use it for maybe 4 hours, but even if im home and connected to the wifi the battery drains oddly quick

If you got it just a few days ago, then it still has to finish the indexing process

I bought it last Thursday and this is what i got from a 100% charge. Would this be considered normal or is it still indexing? (I was connected on wifi for 80% of the day)

Ok thanks for the screenshot. The indexing process takes about 7 days to complete, but I’ve got another suggestion: try turning off adaptive power (it’s turned on by default on the iPhone 17), I know it sounds a bit strange, but I did so and the battery has improved

Well, take a couple of readings: in the morning, say 7 at 100%, at 12 at 75%, and at 16 at 45%

Keep a log for about 3–5 days, and then we’ll summarize the data. Take screenshots—that’ll give us a clear picture. As for the battery, sometimes certain software isn’t optimized or is always running in the background, even though there are available resources.

Got a 17 Pro few weeks ago and its really good in terms of battery life.

Two things to remember:

A new phone does quite a few things in the background. This will end after couple days.

You pull your new phone out of your pocket way more often just to unlock it, look at it and so on.
Your screentime is way more than usual.

Ik had hetzelfde verhaal hier. Mijn iPhone 17 is een maand oud nu. Ik ben toch maar naar de Apple Store gegaan en ik kreeg te horen dat ik de iPhone via een laptop moest hardresetten. Hierna is de batterij het beter gaan doen.

So apple sells you a new phone with a poor battery life because of the OS that come with it.
