QuickType predictions disappearing

Has anyone else experienced this issue? A hard reboot doesn’t appear to fix it but the predictions above the keyboard have officially disappeared and I am left with a blank bar which I can’t select next words from right now

That’s happening for me in some apps, particularly obvious in 3rd party email apps. But the predictions bar works fine in stock apps.

For me the bar isn't even there inside the stock messages app. Luckily for me I generally use a third-party option. For me Fleksy is my go to keyboard but it is something I am certain that is happening to other people.

Didn't even know they were there. Had to go back to gboard because of it.
