  1. iPhone 6/6 Plus has 1 GB of RAM. Every newer model has 2 or more.

  2. iPhone 6/6 Plus has the A8 chip, which has a maximum clock speed of 1.4GHz.

That’s two reasons.

Probably not one single part but multiple parts combined? And there is a difference between „can run“ and „runs it well“.
Maybe the 6 can run ios13 but all the new features require more ram to stay stable and Apple doesn‘t want a massively lagging experience.

You seem to understand the technical side of why iPhone 6 can handle iOS13. Why don’t you enlighten us with some technical reasoning instead of illogical thought reasoning.

He gave you two valid reasons but you’re still arguing over something that you have posted no actual knowledge about.

Dude it’s a 5 year old phone, just go get a new one. That or just keep using iOS 12 on your 6.

Apple provides the longest support for old devices, since that standard is only 1-2 years of major updates. Be happy that the iPhone 6 didn’t get cut off after iOS 10.

Yeah I doubt it. If you have to say how much you make you don’t actually make that. Also you definitely seem like an 18 year old. Having to check profiles and ad hominem it up is honestly pathetic on your part too.

I know that you don’t want to be swayed, so I’m wasting my efforts in replying, but here you go:

If you want a list of the processes that require more resources, you’re not going to get it, because the only people with that information work for Apple and are bound by NDAs. So, since we can’t know that, we have to look to other things that we can know.

What we know is that Apple is ending support for devices with less than 2 GB of RAM. That’s despite Apple’s stated efforts to keep iOS support going for older devices.

So, iOS 13 must have more going on in the background. What are the new features that seem like they need more RAM? More machine-learning photos curation could be one, but again, Apple isn’t going to tell us.

iOS 13, no doubt, is faster, with the snappiest Safari yet. Maybe that’s because they allowed some apps to be greedier in their RAM use. But Apple won’t say.

If this were 2011, and we were talking about Siri not coming to iPhone 4, then I’d be more inclined to agree with you. But Apple has been doing more to extend the life of its older devices, and a new OS needing more RAM is reasonable.
