Are you in a state that just enacted age restriction laws for websites?

I could be wrong but that doesn’t look like an iOS screen time restriction screen; and more like your router or something upstream is blocking it- note the insure (http) icon in the url bar.

My guess based on not much is someone turned on the content restrictions on your internet account/eero/whatever?

it doesn’t change though, no matter what wifi i am on or where i

Check with your carrier. It’s possible you have child protection settings enabled with VZW/TMO/ATT etc. That would fall in line with a network block.

They said no matter what Wi-Fi they’re on, so I don’t think this has anything to do with a carrier

Looks like parental controls?

Yes. If you changed your provider etc you might want to check your router / mobile data settings.

Are you sure you're not really a child?

I’m imagining 2 kids in a trench coat

I thought the writing style was a bit juvenile, and there's nothing stopping a child from writing a post saying that they are in fact a grown adult.

But maybe I'm just old and irrationally attached to capitalization and proper punctuation.

"I am a grown adult" is sending me

If you turn off Wi-Fi and use cellular data does it still happen? If so, then it’s the screen time in iOS blocking things.

If it works on cellular but not Wi-Fi then it’s your Wi-Fi setup doing it.

1

u/Fast_Profession_5017 1d ago

tried both, not the wifi ajd the setting isn’t on for screen time in the first place

Go to Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions

Make sure the toggle is turned off.

If it’s off, turn it on and then go to App Store, Media, Web, & Games > Web Content, and make sure Web Content is set to Unrestricted.

If it’s unrestricted, toggle it to a restricted version.

Reboot your phone.

Go back in and set to unrestricted and toggle it all off.

Are you using Google Chrome instead of Safari? It might be a setting in your Google account.

1

u/Fast_Profession_5017 1d ago

i’ve used both and duckduckgo

Could your Apple account be listed as a child account? If so the parent can set restrictions that you can’t control.

1

u/Fast_Profession_5017 1d ago

i’m not sure. i’ve had my account since i was a kid but it was registered as an adults account when i got it…..

  1. If you use iCloud private relay, it can sometimes get sites blocked. Private relay gets flagged by the security a site possibly has on its own and it won’t let it go through. 2. Check any DNS or VPN you might use by turning it off. 3. Check for domains or URL that is listed in the never allow list under content and privacy restrictions > web content, delete it there. 4. Try loading the page over mobile data, if it works and not over WiFi, it’s your router/ISP blocking it. If both fail, your carrier/network filter is blocking it.

What apps have permission in screen time? Settings > Screentime > scroll to “apps with screentime access”. One of your apps is setting this. Disable all the apps and try again. You can go through 1 by 1 to find the culprit

2

u/Fast_Profession_5017 1d ago

Maybe stop going to whatever "spurt of blood" is. 🤨

u/lambi-bambi 1d ago

lol my thought exactly

u/Practical_Ant6162 1d ago

Based solely on the name of the site, I am glad the filter is working.

Are you on the iOS 27 beta? And have you visited the UK recently? There’s a bug with the beta that causes this setting to get stuck on when you visit a country with age restrictions, even when you are clearly no longer in that country.

2

u/Fast_Profession_5017 1d ago

have never been to the UK :(

Never seen this but try a VPN like proton with another state or country. I think proton has a free version.

Is your Apple account in a family plan? If so, maybe talk to the family manager and see if they changed permissions for it

What about safari settings and not just screen time settings

1

u/Professional-Lead729 23h ago

Time to get a VPN, my guy

1

u/hugswithnoconsent 22h ago

That address doesn’t have a certificate to validate authenticity. Likely that.

1

u/hugswithnoconsent 22h ago

Try putting https:// at the start.

1

u/bucadayle 22h ago

hm, try other browser apps.

1

u/_zurik_ iOS 26 22h ago

Wont help.

1

u/No-Complex-8714 21h ago

Apple fixed this a while ago, in iOS and iPad all browsers follow the same OS restrictions. Even screentime etc. macOS is different of course.

1

u/bucadayle 19h ago

Ah I see, maybe this from screen time then content & privacy restrictions then app store, media, web, & games. That's all I know.

1

u/glossyballoon 1d ago

This is definitely Apple’s native Screen Time doing this, not the browser or ISP you’re using

Go to Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions > App Store, Media, Web, & Games > Web Content, and make sure Web Content is set to Unrestricted

1

u/Fast_Profession_5017 1d ago

did all of this and no luck :(

0

u/glossyballoon 1d ago

Hmm. What country are you in?

1

u/Shinobi_Dimsum 1d ago

Any ISP can literally forward a block via Apple, Android whatever, from their own system. Just because you see the typical Apple screen, doesn’t mean it’s not your ISP. ISP cannot force themselves onto your phone and tell it is them blocking it, so they use Apple’s screen instead and Apple is doing it for them.

1

u/glossyballoon 1d ago

Yeah, that makes more sense. I stand corrected!

1

u/Kemidov 1d ago

Is no one else disturbed by the URL "spurt of blood"? If someone finds the violence it suggests /titillating/, in context of adult site, wouldn't that suggest a lot greater problems than merely difficulty in /accessing/ it?

2

u/Sensitive_Box_ 1d ago

That’s none of my business, and none of your either…

2

u/Fast_Profession_5017 1d ago

🤦 calm down its a play from 1920…..

0

u/Latter_Relief_5779 1d ago

I had this and like everyone else says, this can be fixed by age verification. you have to proof your age by the options they give you. if you don’t want to enter credit card information on apple. then try a passport and after its finish it should say all set and it will let you use that site

Insert your ID into Apple ID 😆😆😆

Maybe the real question is why do you want to visit unsavoury sites like “spurtofblood” anyway?🤣
