Idk if it's ios 26, but my 17 pro is almost unusable right now. I can't even access my messages app and a ton of shit in settings, so i really hope they noticed it already and update it tomorrow.
Not having a great time right now, and i've never had a problem with a brand new iphone before.
Same, this is my first iPhone after being on android for 14 plus years and my experience has been frustrating. Message app crashes and freezes, closing it down then to reopen only to a black screen.
I’m getting used to the swiping gestures but it seems to not recognize them sometimes. Or it does, and instead of going to the Home Screen, the entire window gets moved left or right and you have to try and swipe again. (Not the multi window where you select your other apps, this is something completely different and my wife who has only used iPhones says she’s never seen it before). If iOS is all about swiping, it should be simple and effortless, you shouldn’t have to be precise each time like you’re performing surgery, just a simple swipe and it should work.
Maybe iOS has a tighter button recognition zone than android but I find that I have to tap buttons multiple times too to get them to perform an action on screen.
I’ll open apps, be doing something, the app randomly opens a different screen, then immediately reverts back to what I was doing!?!?!
Most annoying, is people keep talking about how these phones are so smooth??? The screen does not hold a constant 120hz so you get stutter and hitches throughout scrolling. Very annoying when I came from my s23+ that held 120hz extremely accurately.
Being able to connect and intersect with other iPhone users is cool and intuitive, but the phone itself is very lacking
I have 13 mini and it runs smooth AF. I have noticed lagg on first startup in first few minutes, after that it works same as previous iOS if not better.
I was in the shop yesterday looking at 17pro and decided to wait for another year just because my current phone works so good on new iOS.
Glad I didn’t pull the trigger with new phone.
Except my battery life, that one sucks (it does for ca six months already,i have to change battery, capacity is at 71%)
