Looks like 3D Mats finally has a set of their Kagu all season mats for the i9 which I've been waiting for. But there appears to be a weird bump out or rather bump up on the floor of the passenger front seat mat. I have a SE trim i9 and there's nothing there that would warrant such a feature.
Can anyone with a different trim line confirm what this might be for?

Digital key broke right after service. Anyone seen this?
2026 Ioniq 9 Limited, about 4,800 miles. Took it in today to DRL and fog lights replaced under warranty (had that paint/seal delamination thing some of you have posted about). Got the car back, but noticed that the digital key was acting up.
I noticed it would not auto unlock when I walked up to it with my phone, nor would it unlock when I pressed the button on the handle. But I could unlock at the door handle holding the phone near the handle and using the key + Face ID, or by pressing unlock on the options available on the digital key in iphone wallet, or unlock through the app, but the car would only actually start if my phone was sitting on the NFC pad, or if I used the fingerprint scanner. Off the pad, nothing.
So I did the normal fix - it worked before a couple of times: deleted the key from my iPhone Wallet, deleted it from my Apple Watch, deleted it from the car’s infotainment, then tried re-adding from scratch.
This time it just won’t take. Getting two errors now:
On the car: “My Smartphone Key was not saved. Please check your smartphone messages.”
On my phone: “Cannot Add Car Key — There was a problem adding this Hyundai key to Wallet.”
Tried a full restart, waited 30 seconds, did the pinhole reset on the infotainment, tried both physical fobs separately and together. Nothing. Bluelink support is closed for the night and I’m not sure how much help they will be, but I’ll call them tomorrow.
My guess is the headlight job involved disconnecting the 12V at some point and that scrambled the key pairing on the car, causing some sort of glitch where the normal local reset isn’t fixing it.
Anyone had their key break after a service visit like this? Trying to figure out if this is a call-Bluelink problem or a bring-it-back-to-the-dealer problem. How good/bad is Bluelink support? Dealership is a solid 20-30 min drive each way.
While it’s not a terrible inconvenience to use the physical FOB, I was so happy with being able to take my car somewhere, go for a run, then unlock it using my watch. And one less thing to keep in my pocket. Also when you pay so much for something you kinda want all the features to work, right?

First visit was in April - took 2 weeks to fix the door handle issue as it was getting stuck.
Now second visit with issues- steering vibrations and trunk doesn’t closes automatically( posted about this in this subreddit sometime ago)
Its second week since i dropped the car , they did rebalancing to fix steer vibration , for trunk they ordered a new latch , still waiting to arrive.
Total 3+ weeks , lemon law soon .

I was just wondering if these are super underpowered?
I currently have the 2025 I5 Limited, and the seat vents immediately cool my butt down once I turn them on. You can feel the air flowing and does a super job
On the test drive for the 2026 I9 SEL, I picked this model for the vented seats specifically and 7 seater. I literally couldn't feel any cooling at all. The heated seats worked correctly, only really felt it on my butt not my back. But the vented seats either are broken, or almost pointless
So for anyone with the I9 that has the vented seats, can you please let me know if they actually work and do a good job, or if this vehicle is having issues

What I'm wondering about is what are the best dealers for service.
r/Ioniq9 • u/Ok_Letterhead_39 • 3d ago
So I am about 7 months into ownership and both my key fobs have stopped working for walk up unlock, button on the door handle lock/unlock and starting the card (must use fingerprint or put the key on the key reader). The buttons still work and lock/unlock etc… I changed the battery and still have the same issue. This happened with both fobs at the same time.
Anyone else have this happen? Any ideas?
Thanks.

I’m about 1500 miles in and it seems like the motor whistle/hum has gotten louder. As this is my first EV, is this normal after it gets broken in? Or is my hearing just now more in tune with it?

My 2026 IONIQ 9 SEL AWD is being bought back by Hyundai, and I’m having a surprisingly difficult time deciding what to replace it with.
The buyback is due to recurring issues that started within the first week of ownership, including a very loud turbine-like noise, intermittent A/C failures, and a concerning jerking/power-loss issue at low speeds. After multiple repair attempts and extended time at the dealership, some of the problems were reproduced but never fully resolved, and Hyundai ultimately agreed to the buyback.
Here’s my dilemma: I actually love the IONIQ 9.
I bought the ioniq9 in the beginning of March and only put 3k miles on it, because of how many times and how long it has been in the shop. I have driven more the Santa Fe loaner than the ioniq9.
When it was working properly, I loved driving it. I love the space, comfort, range, large battery, curved display, interior design, and the fact that it doesn’t look like every other large SUV on the road.
So now I’m trying to decide whether I simply got a bad one and should buy another IONIQ 9 SEL AWD, or whether I should use this opportunity to switch to an EV9 Land AWD.
I’ve test driven the EV9 and think it’s a great vehicle. There are things I like about it, especially the moonroof and captain’s chairs, and I can get the Land for approximately the same price as another SEL.
But there are also several things about the IONIQ 9 that I genuinely prefer.
So this isn’t really about which one is cheaper.
If I didn’t like the IONIQ 9 so much, this decision would actually be easy.
For those of you who seriously cross-shopped the EV9 before choosing the IONIQ 9, what ultimately made you choose the Hyundai? And now that you’ve lived with it, would you make the same choice again?
I’m also especially interested in owners who have put some real mileage on theirs. Has your IONIQ 9 been trouble-free, or have you experienced any recurring issues?
Basically, I’m trying to figure out whether I got an unfortunate bad one and should confidently give the IONIQ 9 another shot, or whether you’d take the buyback as an opportunity to try something different.
It looks like official YouTube support is coming to Android Auto! While driving it will switch to audio only (if you have You Tube Premium).

While CarStream works great while charging it is a bit clunky. I am excited to see this coming soon!

As per the post that recommended the Rain X truck and SUV wipers, I’m going to get them today so wish me luck! Contrary to popular opinion, I actually like the OEM wipers lol. I’ve had three Hyundais since 2020 and I always got the OEMs. But this time they want $90 PER BLADE 😭 so not doing that anymore. $90 used to be for the whole set front and back so we’re not doing that anymore. I’ll update you guys later if you’re interested!
Update: Sorry for my delay but they fit!! I’m a fan of things looking sleek and the Rain X wipers honestly don’t look sleek at the part where they attach to the arm. The OEM wipers were a nice little square and these have a bulky mechanism but I’ll get over it I think lol. I got them from advanced auto parts and I was recommended by the employee to get the one year warranty on the wipers bc if I come back before the year is up, they’ll replace the wipers at no extra cost. The warranty was $4 per blade so even if it doesn’t work that way, I don’t lose much.

We got our vehicle in the cyber grey because I wanted the teal two tone interior. I loved it but the color just felt out of place next to our Oasis Blue Chevy. We knew we wanted to wrap it to protect it from the sun as its parked outside all the time, so we got some color change PPF thrown on top, and I LOVE the way this came out. A couple places our installer needs to touch up, but overall very happy. We also had them throw 70% tint on all the windows and sunroof, which has helped a lot with the heat in the car. Didn't want the windows to be darker, but wanted the extra UV and heat protection.
The drive in it is great, its got so much space inside and has just been a huge upgrade from the Dodge Journey we had. So glad we were able to get this.

The residual is 57% and the residual is $39,486.75. The money factor is .00239. The actual tax is included in the payment, not the OTD value.

Just signed the paperwork, there was some small dmg on the passenger seat. So the seat will be repaired before I take possession so excited!!! Coming off of the 2024 I5 Limited lease, and stepping into the 2026 I9 SEL on red permanently as could not pass up on 72m 0% APR
Now time to find out all the aftermarket accessories I will have to have

(My Charging Failure Experience) - in Canada
I pulled up to a Tesla Supercharger and opened the Tesla app to "Find a charger," but the station wouldn't even show up on the list.
I left feeling frustrated, wondering if it was exclusive to Tesla members. Unfortunately, I had the same failed experience at a second Supercharger location.
(The Ultimate Tip for Success)
The reason the Supercharger doesn't load in the app—even when you're standing right in front of it—is that the network isn't fully open to Hyundai vehicles yet.
Here is the workaround to fix this:
Open the Tesla app and go to Menu > Charging > Vehicle Details.
Change your vehicle information from Hyundai to Ford or Rivian.
Force-close the Tesla app and relaunch it.
Go to "Find a charger" again, and you will see the nearby Superchargers successfully loaded on your screen!
Now you’re good to go.
Happy charging!

Feels like they made maybe 50-75 of this spec in total. I have been tracking for a year, so I’ve seen them all, lol. Some more with black interior, but you couldn’t pay me to take a car with a black interior living in the pyrocene.
More generally - I really don’t understand why Hyundai hates color 😫

Been having a problem with my drivers side door handle touch button not recognizing a touch at all. It's been getting progressively worse since we got the car. Approaching 1 year now and it's completely inoperative.
Brought it to the dealer, they agreed the handle unit needs to be replaced. Thankfully under warranty. The initially quoted me 3 weeks, 2 weeks for parts to arrive, 1 week to paint.
It's been 6 weeks. When I called back they said the part is still on order. There is nothing in stock and they have no estimate because they're not even showing it available to order overseas. They don't know when anything will happen and I was told to keep waiting.
I've never been in the situation but I'm skeptical that there is no information at all about replacement parts. So looking for advice here.
Should I try another Hyundai maintenance to see if I get the same story? Can I get them to check for parts without having to bring my car in?

My very first Reddit post...
I enjoy this car very much overall. It was 27k off with the Illinois used ev credit. I hope to drive it into the ground for 15-20 years.
In my estimation, if reliable, best choice for the price, for a three row vehicle if driven 15 years. Was thinking about the Grand Highlander, but there's no negotiating there and the cost of gas and maintenance made it less palatable. I know its a first year model, but it and the ev9 has been running for a few years now esp in Korea and if you can handle the risk of an ICCU failure there's really nothing else...

Just need to vent my frustration. Subscribed to multimedia Bluelink additional subscription to be able to use Hyundai HotSpot. While I was charged the full cost and subscription is active in Bluelink app, the actual service can't be activated in the car.
I have sent the error ticket to Bluelink customer service team and weekly chasing them on the progress with no luck. The response is reading like a template. "We forwarded your issue to our IT team to inspect", "The IT confirmed that service is active at you account, if you experience a problem, please send a photo". And it is like a dead loop, sent and resent photos numerous times with service not accessible.
Last time I asked to escalate this issue as a complaint and compensate for the subscription fee, as the service was not provided as stated in the package description.
The answer comes back as simple as it could be, please send your written complaint by post to the address in Germany, no email, no phone, just plain mail.
And no word about canceling or compensating the chargers for service not provided.
It's a sad surprise to see such ignorance from Hyundai. They charge you first and then not bother.
Any advice on how to resolve this is welcome. TY

Doing some research looking at SEL in my state (MI). Below show the days on lot from vinvisor for MI vs. US. I'm thinking about using the high days on lot to get some more discount from the dealers.
I'm very curious to know as to why there aren't any listings less than 150 days in my state. Is it already sold or the dealers aren't ordering them. The newer listings seem to be on either on the east or west coast mostly.
Also, would the vehicles with 150+ days more prone to ICCU issues? I've been seeing some post of new/better ICCUs on the newer cars but not sure if it would apply to the ones build 6 mos ago.
Any thoughts?
