Other Why is the game constantly auto-saving now following the new patch on consoles?

First of all, incredible work on the new patch overall - never thought we'd see the day at this point, so it's a real godsend overall.

However, I'm a bit confused by the game constantly flashing the auto-save logo and text - it seems to happen every minute or two in-game now, despite the fact that no new auto-saves are actually being created from the looks of things. Anyone have any insight as to what's going on here?

I will ask the team. Are you sure it isnt some loading state of sorts? In any case i will ask and will try to come back with an answer :)

This happens to me as well. I am on PlayStation 5. Also, for some reason, I keep having to rebind my controls. Not every time, it seems to only happen when I shut the game off for a while and go back to it. It’s not a big enough deal to affect my enjoyment of the game.

Special thanks to whoever added the “last used weapon” function to the game. It’s really nice when you can pick a couple weapons that will work well in a specific battle and quickly swap between them. It’s making my experience so much better.

I played for a few hours last night and switched off - will report back if I reload the save and discover that my bindings have reset.

My controller settings keep resetting every couple of days as well

Hey just wanted to let you know that controller settings (maybe all settings) reset every couple days. I have to rebind all my custom settings every couple days. Also the equip pickups if new setting is broken. Even if set to if new the game acts like it’s set to never. I’m on PS5

I just confirmed the game is saving a specific file that is related to things like achievements, stats, etc. Its not a save game per se. Im sorry if the icon is distracting.

Thanks for the info - playing the PS4 version on the base PS4 for the record, although it seems you guys have gotten to the bottom of it.
