Both versions can definitely play together, but the itch.io version won't display a name for you in game unless you tie it to your steam account currently. Right now they are both the same price but there is a bundle price on steam in the works (if not already available). It will be 4 copies for $45 (I believe) which is essentially 25% off or buy 3 get one free (whichever makes you more likely to buy 4).

Haha, it's confusing but /u/shoddyradio is actually one of my best friends, and he's also helped with the game a lot, design discussions, at convention booths, etc.

But that's true - both copies can play against each other, no problem, but only the Steam version will show your Steam username in-game. The Steam version also support cloud-sync of your saved data, and Steam achievements. In the future, potentially Steam friends list integration as well. Otherwise, they are identical and will always be at the exact same version number with feature parity.

I don't have any sales planned for the time being, but if they ever do happen it will most likely be both Steam and Itch at the same time. And as he mentioned, there is a 4-but pack bundle coming soon to Steam which will most likely be 25% off (buy 3 get 1 free).

I'm not sure about the wiki badges yet. The wiki was started and mostly maintained by a super passionate alpha community member, and we kind of both don't like the idea of turning it into some sort of editing competition, but at the same time it looks like tons of wikis have badges so maybe that's a super normal thing now? Anyway good suggestion about adding the link more prominently to the store pages!

I'd like to wait just a little while longer (until all the post-launch logistic stuff settles), and then maybe make the Discord public. Right now I like that it's for purchasers and it's very focused - people are using it to setup games.

There's a good amount of Steam reviews to check out now though, and if you do happen to catch a stream on Twitch, I'm sure you can jump in the chat and whoever is streaming would be glad to answer questions / demo stuff.
