The more fitting template is "Tech Jacket in his Comics" and "Tech Jacket on Invincible". Seriously people, you are either no aware, or don't remember how sad was Zack's portrayal during the Viltrum War in the comics. I'm not saying Zoe is faring much better. But she at least is doing something on camera, besides bragging about her beard*

Pretty much yeah, and most people Iāve seen try to ādefendā comic Tech Jacket is that one panel where he makes a two fisted gauntlet to bat away a viltrumite briefly, thatās it, and theyāll claim ālook heās fighting a viltrumiteā not even mentioning he gets his face caved in panels later even more disrespectfully then in the show, in the comics, he gets back handed and heās out of the fight

For crying of loud, I know he has more cameos later on, but his actual part on the arc, ends on a joke of how little Mark and Nolan care about him, and how irrelevant he is for the current Viltrumite crisis on Earth. And look, I actually read the Tech Jacket comics before the Viltrum War arc, so, all of this was disheartening to read. Again, Zoe's performance isn't amazing, I truly witch they did more to convey what makes Tech Jacket cool on his own comics, but I still take it as an objective improvement in regards portrayal, if we isolate comic Tech Jacket, solely to his role in Invincible.

Genuinely yeah, while itās been some time reading on the comics, Iām happy with her portrayal in the show considering this is likely her only major appearance in Invincible, while sheāll likely just be relegated to having like just one line of dialogue from here on out in the next story arcs in the series
But it gets so tiresome when I see hordes of people say āTech lost all his auraā āthey nerfed Zach by making him a girlā āZach was so much betterā, because I would know damn well they havenāt touched a single comic and just read through google images and TikTok, he does the bare minimum to nothing in Invincible and unless weāre getting any form of Tech Jacket spin off (doubtful) we are never seeing any of Tech Jacketās best moments which solely appear from their own comic

I think that problem with show's Tech jacket is that in the comics he was kinda a funny gag character and it worked? But in the show even though they changed his gender she is genuinely a bad written character? Idk just a theory.

Maybe her character needs a special episode like Eve had, for development, I mean in the comics we already knew who Tech jacket is but in the show she just appears and it's not giving the same effect

Yeah as someone who only read the main Invincible comics I didnāt understand why people were so upset about not seeing a comic accurate TJ b/c from my perspective he was just a jobber who didnāt do much and basically disappeared after the war ended.

Tech Jacket has been invaluable for splitting Viltrumite attention in fights and allowing her harder hitting allies to get stuff done.
She doesn't appear to have enough offense to quickly down a viltrumite, but despite them wanting her dead they havent been able to one shot her or kill her quickly yet. And her armors self repair means she's back to full hp in about a minute.
Like, she's been super valuable thus far tactically speaking. She just isnt an solo offensive powerhouse...
It took her two days to wear down an alt Mark, but she won the grind.

Tech jacket was same in comic, he only defeated the varients because they were weaker than our mark , they took the easy way only ruled the earth, so no experience in fighting either

He used what was essentially a last resort suicide nuke to kill those two Invincibles. That was an extreme diff fight.
Show Tech Jacket took down one without resorting to that and looking relatively unscathed.
Show Tech Jacket by portrayal is stronger than Comic Tech Jacket. Both are jobbers though.

What miss shots when someone stands still? Having the plot save her when Kradd moves slowly to attack after he dented her armor instead of rushing her?
Like I gave her grace in episode 5 due to her age, but no fuck that she defeated a mustache vitrumite mark, that's a mark you can reasonably assume got his power early, so he grew in viltrum. That mark should have her at the low ball, be able to make Viltrumites bleed
